Drat! If it went to your house, maybe it would leave mine alone :)
LOL I can picture that so well - some of ours used to do that - they just got tired of trying I guess, or maybe they sense Bob's mood isn't the best when he gets to them :)
And you're excited about that:),,,are you nuts:)
Becky
I was excited... I was all ready for it last week. It has to snow a ~little~ or it isn't winter!
Well,,,alright, it can snow THERE alittle so it seems like winter:)
Becky
Well let me know if you stay up all night waiting for it:')
I think I may go get my pids tonight. If any really good I'm going to send one to the weather channel.
I think I'm out of luck.... supposed to be forties and rainy tomorrow.
pids? ;~\
I thought it was pics or kids... or pics of kids... ;~D
yeah:') I wish I could show you one of Cindy but , not her thing:')
I'm going to have to break down and go get glasses, I guess:')
About your lunging incident. No I don't think you were wrong to give her a jerk that hard, even if they do trip, IMO, good if they trip. She was acting up, she needed correcting.
My only other opinion on it is, if it was me, I would not have let her stand for any time. As soon as she got her footing, I'd have started her right back up. Then after she did it without bucking, about two times around stop. That's her reward.
Becky
Oh, ok. Well I counted to ten because I didn't think I was supposed to start her on anything else or give her any attention during that time frame.
I think the 10 second thing that has been talked about here, I'd never heard it before, is that you should correct bad behavior within 10 seconds of the bad behavior occuring. Not wait 10 seconds after it, before doing something else. I could be wrong, like I said I've never heard that before.
I do think bad behavior needs an immediate response, but if you let a horse stop, IMO, stopping is what they want to do, so even if it is a short stop, they won the battle. JMO, tho of course.
Becky
I think you are right about where it came from. I don't see any benefit to the 10 second wait either.
I wouldn't make a big production out of it, just give her a yank till she stops, if that's what you want her to do... and then go again.
Bummer evening tonight. The owner in town. Eddie working on budgets and our weekend looks shot.
Tomorrow, JJ having oral surgery under anesthetic. I would appreciate it if yall would add him to your prayer list.
Looky here, whats waiting to be taken:)
