Dog Drives Truck Into Auto Parts Store
Tue Dec 28, 5:33 PM ET Strange News - AP
SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Michael Henson left the auto parts store with more problems than when he arrived. For that, he can thank his dog.
Henson, whose truck had a sticking throttle, brought his dog along for company when he drove to O'Reilly Auto Parts store in Springdale on Sunday.
"He'd left the truck running I guess to show the people at O'Reilly's and the dog jumped over and knocked the truck into gear," Springdale police Sgt. Billy Turnbough said.
The truck raced into the building, stunning Henson and clerk Josh Hopper.
"The guy said he was standing there, looked up, and saw his dog driving his truck through the building," Turnbough said.
Hopper said he heard the crash and looked up from the transaction.
"His truck was in the window," Hopper said. "I thought, 'Oh no.' Everybody was fine. His front left tire just made it onto the brick wall."
No one was hurt and no humans or animals were cited, police said.

Just Damn!
LOL Dan. If this dog had been behind the wheel of an SUV, don't you just know the headline would read something like "SUV with Dog Inside Crashes into Auto Parts Store."
Rutt Row!
The dog's blood Alpo level was a .30, almost twice the legal limit.
Was watching south park this evening and they had a scene where paris hiltons dog crawls up in the front seat takes the limo drivers revolver, drags the gun into the back and shoot's himself........it was a hoot !
Nobody hurt... they were just stuned.
I think it's "Alpo-hol." That's fermented Alpo.
"The dog's blood Alpo level was a .30, almost twice the legal limit."
FOBL! Fall Over Backwards Laughing!
Woof!
Thanks for the dog stores Dan, good change of pace here
So... will Fido lose his licence?
Stop blaming the dog. It was probably one of those man killing SUV.
I said I was going to get my flat repaired... not cat!
To think that I get embarrassed when my dog stands on the horn. Parts store, grocery store, liquor store, it doesn't matter, when he thinks I've been gone long enough, he stands on the horn until I show up.
The day of "pit bull crashes SUV" draws near...
Heheheh! That reminds me of our old Golden Retriever--one of the goofiest, funniest dogs ever. My Dad took him everywhere, and when Tycho would sit in the car when we went into a store somewhere, he'd get in the driver's seat.
I swear, the dog would 'play' driving. He'd put his paws on the steering wheel, he'd hit the horn. I don't think he actually managed to turn the wheels, but it was a sight to see. This big, brownish-gold dog sitting high up in the saddle of my dad's evil SUV (which, strangely, is now MY SUV and MY dog has never shown interest in driving...).
Good memories.
