I have what you have; D-Link 802.11g wireless router (DI-624); have three ThinkPads connected wirelessly; two use D-Link PCMCIA wireless cards, one using a Cisco card.

First hint: it shouldn't matter, BUT........pick a brand and stick with it across the board unless you're damned good. IOW, use D-Link stuff, or all Linksys stuff.

Thank you. I've returned the two wireless systems that stopped working. What brand do you recommend that I buy?

Good recommendation. I admit I make a living doing the opposite.

A bit stressful. But you do learn alot. Sometimes way more than you ever wanted to know.
