This should be in "chat."
Buy yourself an expresso pot.
I know, it's a 9.5.....but how can I say this.....my name is AGYG, and I too am a mochaholic.....
There are many machines to buy. Good ones will set you back three bills. I know mine did, and it is not nearly the best one.
Try a basic espresso machine and go from there. Can't have a latte without espresso.

Go to foodnetwork.com, and look for recipies
I'm in the espresso biz. I'll freepmail you some good links.

You can find one of these for about ten dollars. A great way to start and it's fun.
troll?

Alternative approach: Stay with your present home coffee maker..with one exception..Place a large jar on the counter next to it, and for every day that you have a cup of your regular joe, deposit $3 into the jar. In about 18 months, (give or take, depending on how much coffee you drink) you'll have enough for a two-week trip to Italy, when you can enjoy the coffee, and so much more..like the food..
Switch to a real adult beverage, b.
I have a Krups Il Caffe Duomo. The espresso portion is on the left w/ steamer nozzle, regular caffe maker on right. I love it. Don't know how much it cost - got it as a gift about 4 years ago.
To make cappuchino: buy instant Cappuchino mix and follow instructions.
To make Latte: Take one cup of milk, microwave until hot, and add instant coffee and sugar.
To make Starbucks, buy a can of starbucks double shot, open, place into a ceramic cup, and microwave until hot.
Our truck stops have latte and cappuchino, but the bad news is that they use instant powder to make it. The nearest gormet coffee shop is down town, however, so if I'm really desperate, I go there...and I live in redneck country...
(reminds me of the far side cartoon, of cowboys at a fire, and one asks: Latte, jake?)
Seriously, you might try some links on Rev Sensing's blog...scroll down on the left...
