HI, Everyone! Yep it's me and it is a drive by...
Things have been hectic on this part of the Central Coast. We have had rain until I think we need Noah's ARK plans! We have not slipped down the hills but the water is flowing down the streets and ground just can't take anymore water. The mudslied is about an hour and a half down 101 from us. It slid 10 years ago and that was a mess. This is worse..just terrible. And in our area there have had to be rescues just because some people are STUPID like going sailing when we have been having rain and heavy seas for a month! or try going kayaking down a stream in SLO only to have the EMT guys or FireFighters have to come rescue you from your own stuipdity. It is costing that idiot 4300.00 bucks!
On the home front, Taco is fine...he had a good Christmas..got some catnip and other treats. He was a good boy and left the plants alone but he did bat a few ornaments on the tree and for a cat nearly 16 that is pretty good! Still got kitten in him. He is a 2 year cancer survivor ( fiborsarcoma, vaccination site).
But tomorrow Ozzie goes in for an angiogram. He had a stress test ( routine) and the doc said he needs to look at a possible blockage. But The Great One has had no symptoms..said because he has always been so active that additional capillaries have become developed so that it has take up the slack. Will know tomorrow. Have to take him in early so won't be back to report on him til then. And me...I'm just over a really nasty bout of some kind of upper respiratory something.

Final accumulation outside was roughly 6 inches of snow with a layer of slushy ice under it with sleet and freezing rain on top of it.
The road crews made things worse.
The odd part was that on the flat road out front, people couldn't get any traction to make the turn onto the road I live on.
Flat, and everyone was sliding as if on ice skates.
That was likely due to the layer of geltinous slush under the snow.
God what a mess outside.
And very few are delaying opening this morning despite ice conditions.

Here in Crook Co. Illinois, we've had lightning and thunder this morning and now VERY heavy fog. I have just returned from venturing out to the grocery store for some needed supplies. Visibility maybe 50 yards in some areas. I know where every stoplight and stopsign is so I wasn't worried but I certainly wouldn't want to try to drive somewhere that I didn't know well in this pea-soup.
I met at least 3 cars with NO LIGHTS ON! All of them grey in color and blended in perfectly with the fog. Bet they were all driven by liberals too. Idiots.
Good morning all. I'm off to make a meatloaf and potatoes and put them in the crockpot. Dinner will be done ahead of time tonight, yay.

Meatloaf and potatoes sounds so good. I'm keeping the grand kids all weekend and have been trying to think of kid friendly menus. They could live on meatloaf and fried chicken, only.
