I am amazed this lady is still walking considering the way some college football fans react to things of this nature....
Why tell the press about her jumping in line? Even a wimp could've taken a can of Coke, put it in a sock, and wailed on her before anyone woke up. I doubt if anyone in line would've complained.
What's with kids these days? Anything goes?
The "lady" you refer to is no lady at all. In fact, she shows great aptitude to be a Democrat "vote counter" in one of 51 major DNC ballot-manipulation projects in the 2008 Presidential elections...
LOL
I was using the term lady loosely....
Just another wack-job woman pushing around adult males whom she knows will not lose control and give her the pummeling she deserves.
The students at TAMU are gentlemen and not used to dealing with such audacity and effrontery.
I doubt anyone gets away with that again.
you are probably right....
except I wonder if we are getting the entire story. There was probably a cop or two around....
I wonder if anyone is stupid enough to try it again....
I think she's fortunate she didn't wind up "Right next to God".
This is a great lesson to these students. This woman, acting the part of a terrorist/thug, refuses to follow the rules that the collective has agreed on. They then tell her to follow the rules and she refuses still, so they do nothing having been disarmed not to take action against someone that will not follow the rules.
I hope that these pinheads in line have more people show up and go to the front of the line. I wonder how long it will take them to defend their rights then?
I think she's fortunate she didn't wind up "Right next to God".
Maybe she's one of the 72 Virgins waiting for Osama.
Beat the Class of 79 Hell Outa List Eaters!
I cant help but wonder why someone did not physically prevent her from taking the list.
Because they have be brainwahed into thinking not to confront agressive people, but to yield.
I suspect we haven't heard the entire story either.
When I was at UT before the stadium was expanded there were not enough seats for students. Even buying an expensive "activity pass" did not guarantee a student he would be able to get a ticket.
We were national champions a couple years I was there but in five years I was only able to get tickets to two games, both in the visitors' section from politicians who didn't use their's.
The fraternities would make their pledges stand in line all night with enough activity passes to get tickets for the whole fraternity/sorority.
Could it be that the A&M Corps was doing the same thing? That's not fair to other A&M students who don't have underlings to stand in line for them.
They had the problem at Ohio State where the students were selling their tickets to people because OSU makes sure that any students that want in, get in.
Some enterprising students will sell their tickets for double face value. So now OSU puts the word STUDENT in block letters at the top of the ticket if it is sold to one and then yo have to show ID to get into the stadium with it....
"I cant help but wonder why someone did not physically prevent her from taking the list."
It was 4:30 a.m., most of them were sleeping, and no one expected anything like that to happen! As a resident of Bryan-College Station, whose hubby has both attended and worked at A&M for over 20 years now (and has personally stood in line for Cotton Bowl tickets...!), I guarantee that everyone who saw her walked towards the list totally expected her to follow the unwritten code of honor and simply write her name on the list. It was when someone did try to stop her that she put the list in her mouth. A fellow student DID physically grab her, and had assault charges filed against him later. I don't know how that is proceeding, but I certainly hope the UPD dismisses charges.
Gee, it's too bad we don't live in the computer age.
Pepper spray would have been an appropriate tool.
Yeah, pepper spray is good, but stomping on the top of her arches, preceded by a nice scraping of the hell in her shins, is cheaper and probably as effective, but maybe less defensib le sense she likely had her lawyer already lined up.
Does this look like someone fishing for grounds for a lawsuit?
'Beat the hell out of the list-eater,'".
In this case, the proposed punishment certainly seems to fit the offense.
Someone should have fed her the clipboard next. This is the same lady that made it necessary for banks to put up rope lines. Of course, the rest of the students have proven to be a bunch of cowering wimps. Doesn't speak well for the school.
