FireFox Burns Internet Explorer’s Market Share
An extended explanation on why Internet Explorer is insecure

How Spyware Took The Next-Gen Threat Crown (On The Internet's No #1 Threat Today MUST READ!!!) -- My own opinion is that anything that takes over your private computer without your informed consent should be illegal and that anyone distributing such programs and those paying to have it distributed (the engine that drives this train) should be held criminally responsible. A politician who would undertake such legislation would have an instantaneous, nation-wide following... a political hero (are you listening out there?)

Browser Wars -- Broadband Firefox users should try ForecastFox 0.5.8. It will put the Weather Channel forecast of your choice in the taskbar. Completely customizeable (I selected the three-day, day-and-night forecast for my ZIP) and totally cool.

Samsung Claims Largest Plasma Display [102 inches diagonally] -- Sony is the canary in the mine here. When they

Some recommend Xandros 3.0. Windows like and the easiest Debian Linux distro for newbies to install and maintain. Even all the names have been changed to make getting around the operating system as painless and familiar as possible. In addition, with the Deluxe Version, you can run Windows applications with Crossover Office. http://www.xandros.com

Unless you are running a proxy or connect via a proxy only direct connection to the internet is all you need. You don't even need networking installed to connect. See here for reference to the connection settings. If you have a software firewall make sure it isn't blocking Firefox. In general if you can connect with any other program like IE or a auto-update in an antivirus you should be able to connect with FF. Even at work where we have a corporate firewall direct connection puts FF on the internet.

Internet Use Said to Cut Into TV Viewing and Socializing -- I now communicate with family and friends more than ever via emails and internet postings and articles. In addition, at home I could only annoy my family. Now thanks to modern technology, I can annoy them along with millions of liberals. The internet is a freakin' miracle. They're complaining about the lack of television viewing because they can no longer inundate me with liberal propaganda. Every  lie they tell gets challenged and blown out of the water with facts now.

IE Plagued by 'Extremely Critical' Flaws

Exploit code attacks unpatched IE bug ( Even the new SP2-Service Pack 2-is vulnerable ) -- I can't imagine why anyone would. It's like knowingly choosing to park a car in a high crime area and leaving your doors unlocked.
Most of them use it because they've not been made aware of the threat/danger MSIE poses. There are a number of Freepers who had never heard of Mozilla, Firefox, or Opera until they saw them mentioned in a thread. I can't blame people who aren't always able (or even savvy enough) to keep on the the latest tech news.
