Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hey, you know I found that little 10mm wrench the other day...you know I found it as we were coming home from church? Well, here's the rest of the story...
I got us all dressed and ready for church but when we got there it was a special "holiday service" and had started at a different time. We were WAY late, so we decided not to stay...we just came back home.
So I looked down and saw that tool...a metric, which is what is needed to work on Beeetles! I held it up and said to Steve "It's a sign from the Lord that we're supposed to get a Beetle!"
Steve said "I don't think the Lord is going to reward you with a sign after you just skipped out on church!"

the boxers I got him (at a garage sale) were supposed to fit that way!Smart kid. He realized right away boxers don't fit. Ever.
I tried some when I was 13, never again.

Reading back through OT's Entmoot journal... *sniff*
But it reminded me...did that coconut every sprout? Or was it a dud?

Coconut never sprouted. It was either a dud, or it knew it was not in Florida ;~D
It's still in the pot. I thought about breaking it open to see what it looks like inside... see if it ever even 'started' to sprout.
To: RosieCotton
So saying "I'm moving to Colorado, but that's ok because one of the Entmoot chicks is there" isn't the greatest plan?
If they lock you up, get word somehow and the Dwarves will mount a rescue.

I wonder if it started at all, of if it's pretty well dried up inside. Be interesting to know!

Mornin everyone.
elf-boy still has a vey tender throat, but has absolutely no sign of fever! We are watching StarWars. Just finished "The Empire Strikes Back" and are about to put in "Return of the Jedi."
