Jar Jar top pain by far far By GARY MENEELY STAR Wars alien Jar Jar Binks has been voted the most annoying character in film history. The elastic-tongued creature, from The Phantom Menace, beat Eddie Murphys Donkey from Shrek into second place. Jar Jars high-pitched voice provided by little-known actor Ahmed Best stuck in fans minds. Comic Jim Carrey had FOUR characters in the top 20. His idiotic Lloyd Christmas from Dumb And Dumber was third. Carreys portrayal of Stanley Ipkiss in The Mask was eighth, his title role in The Cable Guy came 11th and The Grinch was 17th. |

                  | Rowan Atkinsons Mr Bean was the highest British entry at No4, while Sasha Baron Cohens Ali G was 19th. Nearly 5,000 film fans were quizzed in the poll for DVD movie game Scene It? Spokeswoman Gylla Kelly said: Everyone has a favourite movie character as well as a list of those they find annoying. When people play the game they usually like to debate over which characters have made their mark on the movie scene. |

My guess is that if this had been a U.S. poll, Michael Moore would likely have figured quite prominently in it.....

Sounds like they just wanted a list that they could put Jar Jar on the top of.

For real... I like Eddie Murphy as Donkey, and Jim Carrey as the Grinch, and definitely Andy S as Gollum.

Donkey was supposed to be exactly as annoying as he was. I guess Gollum is annoying in the ROTK commentaries, but not in the film. Besides, I have a better list: Michael Moore, Farenheit 9/11. Michael Moore, Bowling for Columbine. Michael Moore, Roger and Me. And you cannot forget the ensemble work for Canadian Bacon.

To: AmishDude
Did you ever see the Gollum easter egg on TTT? It was extremely funny.

Wow. The legal department on The Shining really screwed up when they gave clearance for the character name "Shelley Duvall" (played by Wendy Torrance). You would have thought that they would have found there is actually a well known person named Shelley Duvall.

It's the best of the 3 Easter eggs. And I love how they bleeped him. Even on the DVD. It's much funnier bleeped.

I couldn't believe how he cursed at Peter Jackson in that clip.

Are you kidding, Peter Jackson loves that stuff. Jackson gets killed as an extra in the ROTK extended cut.

To: AmishDude
Did you see the two easter eggs on ROTK discs 1 and 2 yet?

I've seen the one on disc 2.

To: marajade
I've seen them both. Still not as good as TTT.

If I were a certain part of the population, I'd be rather offended.
