With the recent piling on of Secretary of State by REPUBLICANS expect the following move
Senate Republicans will attempt to force President Bush to get Sec. Rumsfeld to resign by threatening to block Dr. Condi Rice for Sec of State.
Bet on it and get prepared to fight.
Focus on McCain (needs ego stroked), Collins, Lott (his wittle ego is bwoosed), Coleman ( Prez Bush "supported Annan")
TOPICS: Military/Veterans; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: condeleezarice; deptofdefense; donaldrumsfeld; pentagon; statedept

I don't want to call it hunch, it's just how things appear to be aligning. Dr. Rice is the highest profile appointee. Sec. Rumsfeld put in Defense to shake up the status quo. Goss is in the process of shaking up the CIA. Rice in State would be the hat trick in repositioning the govt for the 21st century.
There are going to be subtle hints and insinuations on the Sunday talking head shows. If you see Hagel, McCain, Collins, Schwarzkopf, Coleman, Lott making the rounds, that's going to be the indication.
