I don't believe in any of that stuff, and why don't I believe in it? It's quite simple:
1. Most cases are of something not heard by the naked ear, if you will. Why not? If ghosts really wanted to talk to someone, don't you think they'd talk in a way that *people* could hear it, and not in a way that, when they were alive, even they couldn't have heard it?
2. The cases where one did hear something as was being recorded are mostly of indistinguishable "moans" and "groans" and other similar types of noises. Noises, not vocalizations. Why, if a ghost wants to talk to someone, wouldn't they use at least SOME human language, instead of indistinguishible noise?
I think you can see the trend here. Bascially for me, unless we have a recording (or it happens live, for me) of a ghost or some other "spectral entity" saying clearly, "Hi, I'm a ghost, and yes I'm really dead. Here, let me show you by walking through this wall too"....unless we get something like that, all this stuff about white noise and "EVP's" are nothing more than garbage to me.
It's like an abstract painting; you see (or in this case hear) what you want, not what's really "there", which is *nothing*.
