ABC13 Eyewitness News (12/15/04 - HOUSTON) A Richmond couple is upset at a Sugar Land pet store they say gave away their beloved Pomeranian to a stranger.
Jana Brown says she dropped off her purebred Pomeranian named Mercedes to a Sugar Land Petco to get groomed more than a week ago, just as she has done dozens of times before. But ...

Not funny in the slightest.
Who did that?
That's not the excuse, that's the problem, whatever size pet you have.
The best dog in the world is a wonderful pet, nothing more.
I don't find this at all amusing. For those who don't like Pomeranians...the next time this happened it could have been a lab or a setter. I fail to see the slightest bit of humor in this.

Now THATS funny, ya gotta admit.
Too bad, it had all the right things in it. Dogs and heaven.
Do they have dogs in oblivion?
No, it wasn't, was it? I guess people who don't have pets don't get it.
I thought snakes swallowed their meals whole.
I dont think people (like me) are laughing at the storys sad line, but at the fact we are talking about a funny looking little creature.
If Yoda had hair and walked on all fours...
Some of us prefer our dogs to certain people.
Shall I name those people?
I am with you. Even though this isn't a "real" dog according to some, this was someone's pet. The worst part of it is they don't know what happened to it. Was it sold to a lab? Fed to a snake? Turned loose to fend for itself when it soiled the floor? Used as bait to train fighting dogs? Just abused by a sicko before being killed? The possibilities are huge, and, by the words of some of the folks on this thread, widely shared and considered entertaining.
I'm laughing about the number of replys this stupid story has generated.

Good grief. He's getting enough of a beating here.
I must have a different sense of humor than you. I could hardly type this stuff because I'm laughing so hard.
I'm just so pleased with myself, this is the second doggie love thread I have been on today causing trouble. LOL
"Do they have dogs in oblivion?"
Nope. Nothing exists in oblivion. When dogs die, the same thing happens to them that happens to all living things when they die, as far as I know.
It's the time when they're alive that they mean so much to their owners. Those of us who own and love our pets get a great benefit from them.
Even the folks at the Humane Society shelter where I got my Lab (rescued) can take a good ribbing about the animals there
FYI, I have both a cat and a dog.
They're little dogs so no one minds if they yip and bite. At least a lot of their owners don't.
Pets are children to single girls. My mom thinks I'm bananas when I leave the radio on for Sophie.
Bad dog!
