Why are coffeehouses over-run with DemocRATS?!?!? (Mod sets bongo aside, zots troll)

Posted on 12/14/2004 11:14:29 AM PST by CarolinaGOPer

I live in a college town in North Carolina, and recently I went into a coffee shop to innocently purchase a cup of coffee. What I instead found was a veritable den of sin, filled with Marxists and DemocRATS. To wit:

-The entire place stunk of patchoulli -Patrons were reading 'Tropic of Cancer', 'The Communist Manifesto', and 'Stupid White Men' -- titles that I would never want my good G*d-fearing children getting a hippie's length away from (of course, not a Bible to be found) -Two women were kissing (of course, I could only tell they were women upon further inspection, if you catch my drift; they seemed to be wearing very comfortable shoes) -Someone was actually playing *bongos* in the corner -The combined annual income of the patrons was less than what I paid for my car

Why is it, dear Freepers, that coffeehouses are controlled by these liberals? Why can't family-loving, G*d-fearing, red-blooded Americans simply get a cup of coffee without having our values completely desecrated?!? Are there any conservative coffeehouses, where this ridicuolousness is not tolerated?

You're right!

Why give them an advantage?

Gosh, I didn't know the UT HAD a Cosmic Law!

I guess if I wear making a troll, i'd roll a D4 and =1.

That wasy you get some variance, and the critter willl require one decent stroke to kill.

In MY world, trolls are much tougher, but they also tend to be decent people ala "Shrek"

JUST the guy you want to knock down the door in the chaos nest!

"Gosh, I didn't know the UT HAD a Cosmic Law!"

Yup! Darksheare and I discovered it a while back! It's like the relation between particle and antiparticle pairs. For instance it's been proven that if someone posts a joke on the UT, somewhere else on FR at the exactly same time, someone else is bound to post something series.

"In MY world, trolls are much tougher, but they also tend to be decent people ala "Shrek""

Yeah, I'm going by D&D troll standards. I haven't moved up to the cooler RuneQuest standards yet :)

When I had my Siamese, my typing was often bad because she liked to sit on my lap and "help".

That didn't sound very thrilled--must've been a typo :)

Oh, I've been *quite* thrilled lately -- most recently with my brand new iPod mini, as well as some other things! :D

Thank you, but you're a little early -- however, there's at least one week left to shop! ;D

Vandalism? Geez, you need to relax.

I removed a flyer from the front door for heaven's sake.
It was in my face and as a customer, I didn't want to see Sheryl Crow promoted by the Kommie StarBucks.

Get a life!

My philosophy is it's never too early to sell candy! :) Hmmm, only a week to shop--if I send a box of chocolates at it arrives slightly late will you forgive me? :)

Get a life!

Yeah, stands2, you should do something productive with your life like tear down flyers and brag about it online!

Teasin' ya, sweetheart :)

Why apologize? I was an English major, love to read and write, I wear Birkenstocks all the time, I can't get enough of Starbucks and other fine (albeit overpriced) coffee, AND I am a conservative Republican. Why should the fact that most of the people who do the above are moderate-to-liberal take away my enjoyment from it?
