Also the Pats sealed their division - though all Pat fans we're hoping that Pennington could get by Pittsburg.

Ohh well, we'll just have to hope that Baltimore or Buffalo will knock them off.

Well, Manning got 2 TD's today and the Colts clinched the division. I'm still not sure if this will be their year.

2004 NFC south Champs.

Congratulations, Falcons, on clinching your third (IIRC) division title. Especially because you gave the Eagles a first round bye in the process. :-) See you in the NFC Championship game (not me, the Eagles).

ff

P.S. Thanks Vigilantcitizen for remembering and dredging up the *old* Falcons logo (before it was IMO desecrated with red trim; the Lions did the same thing when they gave their cat a black border).

Yup, but that was an ugly win.

Well, I guess when compared to the offense ballet that had been played in the last few wins. You could tell Manning was frustrated with the way the offense was being shut down. Still fun to watch.

I think the outcome will be different the next time the pats and steelers play.

You don't get over on Belichick two games in a row.

Thanks. Yes, it's the falcons third division title. Hopefully, we see ya in the NFCC game.

Yeah, I like the old logo better myself. Been a falcon fan since the 70's.

Did you know about this?
Ramsey went 29-for-42 for 251 yards for the Redskins, and Laveranues Coles caught 12 passes for 100 yards despite a chronic toe injury that kept him out of practice for most of the week.

I remember when Coles came out of FSU, he might have been a first round pick except for character issues.  Anyone who has a nickname of "Trouble" on Bobby Bowden's team raises quite a few red flags.  He's been pretty quiet up until now, but injuring your toe while on the chronic, not only does that adveresly effect your play, but you're just asking to be drug tested and suspended.
Keep it on the QT, Holmes!

How's Viking nation reacting to the Moss option pass playcall?

Yeah, he's the chronic! He's been troubled by the toe since last year, which may explain why he hasn't been running the deep routes like he was doing early last season. But hey, at least he hasn't been convicted of federal drug trafficking offenses or admitted guilt to tampering with evidence and lying to police officers following a double murder, like certain players on a team just north of the Skins and south of the Green Man Group.

I have to admit, it really was an easy week though.  We have about 50 people who play the office pool here, usually 12-3 will have you in the running for MNF.  This week, 35 of the 50 have 12 or more correct, 8 people only missed one and one guy had yesterday wired.

Plus, those Redskins/Eagles games have been close more often than not.  Hopefully we won't continue to have problems along the D line with injuries and enter the Post Season relatively healthy.

How is viking nation reacting to the "Moss option pass" call?

Viking Nation is wondering why, with one of the top 5 QB's in the NFL and the season on the line, our wideouts are throwing the ball.

Viking Nation is wondering if this year's collapse will hurt as much as last year's collapse.

Viking Nation is wondering if Bud Grant is available.

Viking Nation is wondering how long we must wander in the Wilderness for trading Fran Tarkenton to the Giants. We're getting up toward Red Sox territory.

For future reference, I have a moustache too...

...but I also have horns. (good one, tia!)

Yeah...Falcon Nation went through the curses from the football gods, from the "Firing Leeman Bennett" curse throughout the 80's, to the "Letting go of Brett Favre" curse which is showing signs of letting up now.
