GOOD A.M TO ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!
I am getting ready to head out to New Orleans today to visit the folks who raised my SIL and no, I am NOT going to the French Quarters, I worked undercover as a drug agent in that hell hole in the 60's and it is the garbage pit of America. As you can see I am NOT a fan of that place and rightfully so.
New Orleans Food, now that is another story and I can assure you I will indulge today, crayfish, shrimp, deer meant, cooked Cajun style by Cajuns. One of those folks makes a soup and after you g et that first spoon full son and not choke to death by the fire in it you can't put it down.
Our friend Karik withdrew, the dems were out for him with both barrels and I hope it can be traced back to Hill-O-Ree and Shimmer. 'Shoot them between the eyes' is their cry when it comes to a Bush appointee.
OK, they are hollowing for me to come on so I am off to N.O.
You all be good ya hear? Toby

Good morning Dolly.
How is your wife doing? dealing with the loss over the holidays rough on her?
As well as can be expected. Our faith in the Lord helps to comfort us. (And He has a birthday to celebrate 8^)

Well, has Little Miss Emily registered with FR yet? does she have a clever but appropriate screenname? Get busy pappy & mammy (what do you want her to call you?)
In the world of many grandparents it gets tricky. My granddaughter has 7 grandparents(each marriage failed & all but me remarried) ... and one great(my mom).. I have he call me Grandma Dolly. works for both of us.

I hope that can sustain her.. that is of course the only answer.
The 9th was the 13th anniverary of the death of my dad. I miss him continually but the holidays, veterans day & of course father's day are the worst.
I now & then dream of him.. you know how dreams go.. often quite illogical but they seem to make sense at time. I always wake up feeling good. Like a contact is made/there.
