Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Praise God!! What a loving God who hears and answers prayers.
What great news, Guennie .
Your reports about Emily are just fantastic news! She seems to be quite an amazing little girl ... must be in her genes ... :-)
My two baby granddaughters are a study in contrasts.
Lennie, at 5 1/2 months, is, to put it bluntly, HUGE! Her daddy calls her Thunder Thighs, among other things. She hasn't been to the doctor lately but they estimate that she weighs maybe as much as 20 pounds. She's got some 6-9 month clothes that are too snug on her.
..... But she is a real cutie-pie. Is getting to where she really laughs ... wonderful little belly laughs, if you find just the right thing to amuse her. She's just beginning to be able to sit up by herself with just the slightest bit of help. Her complexion is very fair and right now her hair is turning more blonde, though still with a hint of red.
Kate is quite tiny ... only weighs about 8 lbs. at 5 weeks old. Her hair is dark with just a hint of wave to it and her coloring is darker than Lennie's, too. She's still sleeping quite a bit of the time ... and she's very sweet and cuddly.
Both were very good this weekend in spite of all the confusion and chaos.
The older grandkids were their usual sweet, loving selves and were good with their baby sister and entranced with their cousin.
It was a good weekend ... but we're exhausted now ... LOL!
..but Jenny, especially as a baby, had large blue eyes.....(her eyes are still big and beautiful)
I can ditto that! Daughter-child's eyes were very dark blue when she was born ... almost navy. They stayed blue, gradually lightening, until she was nearly two years old ... and then turned hazel. Now they're mostly brown.
Don't believe I've had the pleasure...
Hello!
Winds are gusting up to 40 mph today. No snow to speak of either.
The good news is that my Christmas decorations are on the south porch, so the house is shielding them very well.
That happens a lot where I'm from. Some claim that it's because we're full of BS. 8>)
My eyes are still hazel. ;>)

I am blessed with friends and family that are willing to help. It's tough to carry everything in one A-bag and a duffle.

It pleases me greatly to hear you had a wonderful time with grandkids and kids!!!!
Great news update Guenevere. I must have missed a post where Jen went home? I hope she's doing better too. What a great Christmas you are all going to have.

Hello Northern Yankee - I drop by this thread to read every day but do not always post. Nice to meet you.
Well, the Vikings lost although the wind was not a factor at the ol' dome, just their lousy playing (per my husband). He's watching Green Bay now - I glanced at the game and it looks pretty windy and nippy over there. We're down to 24 degrees here now and with the wind chill it's darn cold.
We'll be having an open house at the office but my assistant will take care of most of that.
We're facing the tough decision of what to do Christmas weekend now. Do we go see daughter-child and enjoy the older grandkids with their Santa stuff ... or go see son ... or go to Wilmington to see my brother & his family and a s-i-l who lives there ... or go spend the day with m-i-l ... or just stay home and relax, while feeling guilty for not going anywhere to see anybody ... LOL! We need to do all of them but the staying home sounds the best to me right now. I'd really rather not be traveling over the holiday weekend but I suspect we'll be going somewhere ... to see m-i-l at least.
The wind gusts are hideous here today too.
Be sure not to let MozartLover know that ... she's a rabid Packers fan (I think she bleeds green and gold) and the Vikings are the arch enemy. :-)
I'd vote to stay home but understand tehe guilt you'll feel if oo do.
I'll be cookinmg the full italiam dimmer of clourse and thye two little ones inform,ed me they WILL be hjere Christ,as eve.
