I just saw some drivel news piece that Jackie's father was murdered, and that she grew up in an orphanage, yada, yada, yada.
No matter how they're gonna try to paint this woman, she ain't exactly a sympathetic character. Not to mention - she's not the one looking at a possible death sentence, Scott is. I hope the little worm is squirming as he awaits his sentence.
To: Howlin
I guess we won't be seeing Geragos in the media for awhile. Hmm, too bad. NOT!
To: Inspectorette
Peterson scared? You could not drive an icepic up his ass with an 8 pound Ballpen hammer. He's making diamonds out of his turds.
To: Howlin
Judge Napoliano did not identify the remaining witness tomorrow, but he did say that it "would take about 10 minutes" for him/her(?)to testify.
To: uncitizen
Yeah, I know. Geragos hasn't had a clue about what he's doing in this trial, b/c he's
not a murder trial attorney.
In this case, if the Peterson's were honest, they would have said,
"He's not doing as well as we expected."
But after all, when the evidence is what it is, only a brain dead jury would have come back with not guilty.

I suspect good old Scott was breast fed until he was 8.FOURT-TEEN!
To: Inspectorette
Jackie's father was murdered, and that she grew up in an orphanage, yada, yada, yada. And that was HER not Scott! JP wasn't convicted of murder. There's no mitigating circumstance there for Scott.
Neither is it JP being raised in an orphanage. Nothing to do with Scott.

A more skillful lawyer might've been able to raise reasonable doubt though. But this "the police framed my client", "we're gonna find the real killers" talk was only good to raise memories of a murder trial of 10 years ago. Bad idea!
To: Carolinamom
If the witness is a "mystery," how does Napoliano know how long it will take to testify?
It's probably one of SP's jailers to say how nice SP is and he causes no trouble. (Belch.)

Well, in THIS case, I wish them a
lot of luck getting a new trial
b/c of Geragos.
To: Texas Songwriter
You could not drive an icepic up his ass with an 8 pound Ballpen hammerWith any luck, that will happen to him when he is someone's "sweetie" in the pen. And that treatment will still be too good for him.
Wonder how long Conner suffered before he was expelled from Laci's womb? Hopefully, not long.

There's something just not right about these creepy Petersons. In fact, I thought it interesting that Jeffrey Feiger said that the seeds of Scott's murderous personality would be found in Jackie. I agree.

I agree with Feiger.
I think SP gets his flare for LYING from Lee & Jackie.

I believe it was stated in Court by the judge that there will be one more witness on the stand for ten minutes.
Following that each side will have two hours to sum up their positions on the death penalty.

Thanks very much for the info. Someone who believes in Scott's innocence was saying the Rocha's (he called them Roaches) would not be able to get the house or property as it belongs to Geragos.
To: Howlin
I am wondering if that $100,000 loan (which, of course, is a pittance compared to what this case cost them) cannot be secured by that house. I think the equity, less the 100k, will be split between the parties. The civil judge will probably void the Peterson lien as to Laci's estate. I'm betting the Petersons will collect what they can solely from their son's proceeds.
To: InsensitiveConservative
I read in our papers out here that the costs of this trial are so steep that the taxpayers of California are going to get the luxury of paying MG for SP defense...lucky us!
I also thought I read or heard that if Scott is convicted that the Petersons would lose all interest in the house and that it would go to the Roca family..
If I were Sharon, I would get rid of that house asap...it has nothing now but bad memories. I also heard on a tv show that it was opined that should the house be sold the buyer would most likely bulldoze it down as was done with the OJ house on Rockingham in Brentwood. I know Nicole's condo was redone and you would not recognize it now.
And I would bet too that the jury will come back with life and no parole because there was no direct evidence as the talking heads keep talking about..so there is squishy room there.
Snotty Scotty is going to have a rough time of it in prision according to a man interviewed at SQ...not so much because he killed his wife but because there was a baby involed. Even the hardest of criminals has some standards and when it comes to pedophiles& and baby killers there is no mercy even in prisons.

I think even if Scott gets life in prison an inmate with nothing to lose will do a Dahmer on him. He might be safer and live longer if he gets the death penalty.
While I only saw court artist renditions..the only ones that showed Scot in tears were when his family and friends were talking about HIM.

I have heard the same thing said about SP. Said he wouldn't last a year in the joint -- that some lifer would get to him -- one way or another -- and no amount of "security" would protect him.
