If you haven't heard of this online forum, there's one called Democratic Underground, at www.democraticunderground.com
It's basically a forum for the most far left lunatics to waste time on the internet griping about Bush and coming up with conspiracy theories about how conservatives are going to kill them, nonsense like that. It also seems popular for them to talk trash about us at Free Republic, calling us insane. A friend and I discovered how fun it is going in there and talking trash about liberalism, and praising Bush, because apparently that falls under "bigotry" in their restrictive rules about what you can and cannot say in the forum. For all interested, if you want a good laugh, go log in to www.democraticunderground.com and find creative ways to make them mad until they ban you from the server. It's fun! And also it'll take them out of their comfort zones if there's a "vast right-wing conspiracy" to wreck their little forum. These peoples' lives seem to revolve around radical politics and chatting on this forum, so give them a rude awakening!
One person even posted because after her mother disagreed with her about politics, she wasn't sure if she should break contact with her own mother afterwards! These freaks deserve us jamming up their forum with both conservative ideas and general obnoxious antics.
I find the use of bad language there is rampant, along with the ranting etc.
I like going to the DU board as a game mostly. I try to find the
thread that doesn't mention/bash Bush in it. Tough game.
I've been to DU once or twice a long time ago and that was enough for me, but a few weeks ago I read about that topic on FReeper Rebelbase's profile page (he has the whole thread posted there).
It's disturbing the mindset that DUmmies have and it's beyond comprehension the hate and rage they possess.
Here is what I think some of our strategy should be in order to ensure Democrat party's disarray:
1. The DP activists are in a tizzy about the "election fraud". They are all tangled up in "statistical analysis" of the election results and exit polls that they think "proves" that there was fraud, are pushing recounts, etc. This is good and should be encouraged. Let them recount and "crunch numbers" - it is harmless, will not change anything, and keeps them concentrated on the past. Even better, it keeps them frustrated, because they are so sure that fraud happened, but cannot find any proof of it (since none exists).
2. Keep this "fraud" hysteria going. Infiltrate their forums, like democraticunderground.com and push the fraud theory. We already have some people flooding that forum with bogus "statistical analysis" posts. Support these people when you see them. Keep telling Democrats on these forums that there is no way that Bush could have won without fraud, that the exit polls were right, that mathematics show that there is a trillion to one chance that the election results were legitimate etc. The more their activists sink into the morass of despair over how they were "cheated out of the presidency" the less actual thinking and planning they will be doing for their political future.
3. There are some clear thinkers among the Democrats, even on du.com. They may turn the thinking towards future elections, political strategies, etc. Disrupt that. Accuse them of being "freepers" for daring to think there was no fraud. Promote the idea that anyone who does not believe in the "fraud" meme is a stooge of the Republicans. With enough attacks, this will either convert them into the "fraud" brigade, or drive them away - either way, a plus.
4. Longer term, the "fraud" advocates will not go away. These people are so married to that idea that nothing will convince them. Encourage that. Since no proof of fraud exists, they will go deep into conspiratorial theories. Encourage that. People who think that way will be discouraged from general political activism - hell, why vote if "they" will cheat you out of the vote anyway, right? With luck, we can extend this all the way to 2008 elections.
5. The hatred of Bush - this is very useful. Keep fanning it. Their hatred is what lost them these elections, and their hatred, if maintained, will extend their losing streak. Post inflammatory anti-Bush rhetoric. Start threads with topics like "How much do you hate Bush?" and "I hate him, I just hate him". Don't shrink from the task. The more they hate, the more they will lose.
So - go to it. Don't underestimate the power of a well-placed conspiracy theory, it may work wonders in despiriting the other camp.
"The DUmmies aren't worth the bandwidth consumption."
You've got that right! I just spent 5 minutes there...it's amazing the illogical discussions they post and the hatred they spew! DU should be required reading, just so we all know what we're up against!
I used to go there everyday but I just can't stomach it anymore. Especially when they start trashing our soldiers. I just read the DUmmie FUnnies from the comfort of FR.
I am having DUmmie FUnnie withdrawls!
reading over there is boring without the great PJ to interpret!
I was going thru some older threads and your question caught my attention. Go to the Bloggers & Personal link the under Forums on the main FR page. He posts the DUmmie FUnnies there.
Just for grins I signed on as KOOLAID MAN . After just 3 postings my privledges were revoked . Boy are they sensitive , they sure can dish it out, but they can't take it. And trust me I was very mild in my postings . You must agree with everything in a thread or they will revoke you. I'm so glad I don't fit in with the DUmmy squad .. .. ..
