Oh, thanks. Jim Reeves has the most beautiful singing voice.

Yes, I recall so many nights when Dad was overseaa and Mom would spend the evening listening to Jim Reeves and ironing clothes for me and my brother. I always thought Mom liked Jim Reeves (and she did). But it was years later I found out that she played his records because he was Dad's favorite.

Falling Snow

See the pretty snowflakes
Falling from the sky;
On the walk and housetops
Soft and thick they lie.

On the window-ledges
On the branches bare;
Now how fast they gather,
Filling all the air.

Look into the garden,
Where the grass was green;
Covered by the snowflakes,
Not a blade is seen.

I was hoping that was the case, but you never know about our schools nowadays -- what with social promotion, grade inflation, etc., and the counterveiling forces, eh?
