One of the most interesting progressive dinners I have participated in was a church sunday school class one (our classes in NC were as large as some churches).
It was St Pat's day. The only rule was every food item MUST be green..or colored green. appetizers, salad, soup, main, dessert.
some \people could NOT eat the offerings. One very pregnant lady got sick looking at the appetizers.
A lot really filled up on the salad course...and wisely so.
It really was a lot of laughs & made some wonderful pictures.
Good for you and thanks on the Coulter book recommendation. Maybe I'll see if the library can get a copy.
Have fun on your trip. sounds like great fun.
I am going to a CHRISTMAS party tongiht. Lake country republicans.. NO PC BS there !!!
and I agree with many of you. Will boycott PC stuff. Not that it will matter two hoots to anyone. But it will matter to me.
Leaving now. You all have a good day.'
Love & hugs from Ohio
It's cold as can be here and I'll have to bundle up for my trip downtown later. Our pretty downtown is having live music, lights, trees, and a storefront Christmas decorating contest every Saturday until December 25th, complete with carriage rides.
You have freepmail
Remember Christ our saviour. Who's born on Christmas day.
To save us all from Satan's pow'r. When we are gone astray.
(Everybody sing along)
Ooooh ooh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy
Ohh oh tiiiiidings of coomfort and joy!
Good morning.
What is the latest word on that recount? I will check in later.
Frepmail
belongS not "belong"
Yours may be "belongS" but Neets still has "frepmail!"
DO NOT LET MR. MARPLE NEAR A GROCERY STORE!!!
Good morning, bevlar. I haven't had any news on this morning and so missed the loathesome Jackson. The latest I've read on the recount is that Kerry picked up an additional 18,000 votes but Bush is still ahead by a margin of something like 136,000 votes and seems safe.
Enjoy the day. I'm on my 4th batch of making sweet pecans and trying not to eat too many of them before boxing them. LOL
Yum!! Pecans.
Oh my. What did he buy now? :-)
LOL! Are you still enjoying the bounty of his last excursion? Or has he gone again?
How I can relate. I sent Mr. Peach to the store yesterday for celery for the stew. Just celery. 2.5 hours later he came home with bags of food, most of it fattening, naturally.
My stepdad is the same way. Today I need one more thing to bake for tomorrow night's Peninsula Christmas party and Mr. Peach offered to go to the grocery store for me. I said no, quite firmly.
Some sweet. Some spicy (red pepper). Yowza.
I've sworn off the TV for a while.
Can't stand to hear the onesidedness of it all.
I'll be back, manchild and I are going out to Brunch at the diner.
ANOTHER $200!!!!!!
NO MEAT.
I am not to the point where I wanted to get into a shouting match in the grocery, but this has GOT TO STOP. We have NO need for specialty mustards, fancy soups, and extra wine.
Grrrr. I KNOW that in two weeks he will be hollering about all the money spent. Grrrr.
I am NOT going out shopping with him again. He has to go to the hardware store by himself.
More freepmail.
The history channel had a good presentation of the army rescue of a prison camp of military and civilian prisoners held by the Japanese during WWII. Compare what they did with the way we treat prisoners; it is nothing like.
