We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Russian President claims America wants a new dictatorship in Iraq, saying Russia cannot see how a free and fair vote can be held next month with the violence in the country.
Speaking of Iraq, the Navy is investigating new photos, predating Abu Ghraib by several months. AP notes "the far more brutal practices photographed in Abu Ghraib prison occurred months later." AP writes these pictures of Navy Seals recall aspects of Abu Gharib insofar as the prisoners were being assaulted and humiliated.
The AP specifically called out the fact that there were "grinning men wearing U.S. flags on their uniforms."
Decide for yourself, here are the pictures released by AP:
Other than the one above where the Seal is sitting on the prisoner, and even that is extraordinarily borderline as no context is being given, where's the abuse? Must be the flag, since the AP is liberal, and liberals hate America.

see all the work/effort she did for you ???

Hi Molly,
I have been following your fudge making adventure. I remember my Mother used to make fudge at Christmas time that she had to beat and beat until the gloss was gone. Hers turned out, mine never did.
Several years ago a friend gave me the following recipe which has never failed and is the best fudge I have ever had.
Fanny Farmer Fudge (5 lbs. - enough for Dog, etal)
In large bowl mix 3 large (12 oz) pkgs. of chocolate chipe and 1/2 lb. butter, 2 cups chopped walnuts & 3 tablespoons vanilla.
In large saucepan put 4 1/2 cups white sugar and 1 large can Carnation milk (NOT sweetened). Let come to a rolling boil and boil for 6 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over bowl mixture & stir until chips & butter are melted.
Pour into foil lines cookie sheet. Refrigerate util firm, slide off cookie sheet and tip over. Peel off foil, slice into pieces.
After the initial oooling (setting in refrig. it doesnt need to be refrigerated any longer to keep.
Sorry about the typos in my recipe post. I should have previewed.
I enjoyed National Treasure. My dad was a mason.. I like Nic Cage in general & found the historic references interesting
I liked Alexander also despite the press it is receiving. The theater was packed when i was there & people all seemed to be into it. Dragged a bit but overall a good flick
Hi MNbelle.. we NEVER make typos here...
yeah, right! thank for recipe!
Night darlin.. hope you sleep well.. with visions of Auburn football players dancing in your dreams!
Yeah, I've got that bookmarked. Should have mentioned it in my previous post to NY. Thanks.
The men didn't do THEIR laundry while you were gone?
Thanks for that recipe & method. I've always used the recipe on the back of the marshmallow cream jar. It was only in the past couple of years that I learned you could make fudge without marshmallow cream.
I'm going to give your system a try!
And, Welcome to ATRW! I've been AWOL for about a week, so perhaps you arrived in my absence. In any case, I always enjoy conversing with new people here. I hope you'll visit often.

I really think you'll like this recipe, Iowa Granny. It is unlike the marshmallow creme one and that one tends to not harden sometimes, as I remember from experience.
This one is so easy - no beating - just the stirring things together. Also, no candy thermometer is necessary as long as you time the boiling for 6 minutes.
Also, it doesn't "crystallize" and stays creamy, but firm. If you try it, please let me know what you think.
Welcome back. I post occasionally but read ATRW faithfully.
I appreciate your critique of the comparisons of the various fudge recipes. I'm on Adkins. So I won't make this one until the last minute. My will power has gone South during the last few weeks.
It all started with that recipe for white coating chocolate over Rice Chex, peanuts & dried cranberries.
I've been eating like a sow. Time to deprave myself for a couple of weeks before Christmas.
That's a good thing. Mostly. Unless you need an iron.
