We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Russian President claims America wants a new dictatorship in Iraq, saying Russia cannot see how a free and fair vote can be held next month with the violence in the country.
Speaking of Iraq, the Navy is investigating new photos, predating Abu Ghraib by several months. AP notes "the far more brutal practices photographed in Abu Ghraib prison occurred months later." AP writes these pictures of Navy Seals recall aspects of Abu Gharib insofar as the prisoners were being assaulted and humiliated.
The AP specifically called out the fact that there were "grinning men wearing U.S. flags on their uniforms."
Decide for yourself, here are the pictures released by AP:
Other than the one above where the Seal is sitting on the prisoner, and even that is extraordinarily borderline as no context is being given, where's the abuse? Must be the flag, since the AP is liberal, and liberals hate America.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
It wasn't until a few years ago that I learned many recipes really do call for wax - parafin- to put into fudge and other chocolates. It keeps is solid at room temperature.
Kay, What a horrible week, pray things get better for you soon.
The youngest child and I are discussing whethr toterey to get an Irieash wolfhound to take back with us oversas. I'll be deanged though, if I let ite sleep on my head.

http://espn.go.com/page2/s/list/readers/shockingNFL.html
there is something in the air. My e key hits about half the time
November 17~1968
A made-for-TV production of Heidi interrupts a football game between the Oakland Raiders and the New York Jets on NBC. The Jets are comfortably ahead with less than a minute to play, so the network decides to cut away for the movie. But the Raiders score twice in the final minute for a breathtaking win. Thousands of fans Flood NBC and local stations with irate phone calls. The networks get the message: football games will run intact, no matter how long they take
Thanks for posting that! Very fun.:)
The medics from his unit who were transferred to another NG unit headed for the sandbox.....are now boots on the ground....in country.
He'd be there too if that nasty Drill Sergeant hadn't flunked him on his first PT test, which delayed his graduation from basic, which kept him from being deployed. For now.
He says rumors are flying but nobody knows anything for sure.
And now he's talking to the girlfriend so he'll prolly be leaving shortly.:)
well when you discuss the birds & bees next chuckle remembering this one:
THE STORK, MODERNIZED
[Ah ... living in our high tech world ...
Where are you, Dr. Spock?]
Cyrus says: Daddy, how was I born?
Dad says: Ah, my son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway!
Well, you see your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on
MSN. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your mom and we met at a
cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother
agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to
upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall,
and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months
later a blessed little Pop-Up appeared and said: "You've Got Male!"
did you see the thread yesterday where a FReeper lost his wolfhound ?
Cats love to sleep on heads for some reason...
Jemian, I have seen some of those candy recipes with parafin. Obviously a very digestable substance. Who knows, maybe it even aids digestion....hmmmmmmmmm
i recall using parafin also in some recipes.. esp the Coating ones. chocolate covered "whatevers".. strawberries, nuts , raisins.. smoother more even cooling w/o lumps as I recall.
I thought it was pretty distasteful when I first heard about it & then recall the Older women in church (who were then prolly younger than I am now) reassuring me it was safe & done widely
We took our daughter and her friend to see the Polar Express this afternoon. We really enjoyed it very much.
I don't understand the savage beating it took by the critics... sigh... non believers.
