There are a lot of important life lessons that can be learned from NBC's 'The Apprentice.'
Things like 'passion and desire are key components to sucess' and 'you should never underestimate a competitor' and 'if youre a woman, you can get pretty much get anything you want by acting like a complete whore.'
One thing you cannot get by acting like a whore, though, is respect, and Ivana Ma, a 28 year old 'venture capitalist' from Boston found that out the hard way on last night's episode.
Dont get me wrong, I was as happy as the next guy to see Jennifer and Sandy dressed like a pair of streetwalkers, and happier still to watch Ivana take off her skirt and reveal her skimpy panties.
But it also made me a bit sad. I know, can you believe it? Disappointed by cheap sexual shenanigans that demean an entire gender? I think I must have the fever.
Sandy and Jennifer of the Mosaic team tried a slightly different tatic selling their candy bars on Wall Street in that they dressed like the 'M&M Sisters' which is apparently the new slang term for 'pair of bleached blond sluts who are almost too old to even make this look work.'
And work it they did, by traveling around in a van and preying upon groups of horny construction workers who eagerly bought the bars for $5.00 on the chance that Jen might drop their change and have to bend over and retrieve it.
When Ivana realized what the Mosaic strumpets were doing, her solution was naturally, was to offer to take off her skirt for anyone who paid $20.00 for the chocolate bar. Oh, the savage irony. Two minutes earlier she was saying Jen and Sandy looked like 'strippers from a cheap beer dive in Texas, with peanut shells on the floor.'
Then suddenly, she's flashing her snug fitting girlie panties for all the world to see, in a bid to out trollop the trollops.
When she realized that the long knives were out for her, Ivana finally came to life in the boardroom and had the gall to suggest that the hypereducated Kevin as 'not as smart as her,' and got a verbal spanking from Trump's underling Carolyn for being disrespectful to the Donald.
Ivana backpedaled and backpedaled and did just about everything else aside from dropping her skirt again, but it was to no avail: Trump axed her like a teenaged victim in a horror flick.
I noticed that as well..
I said that. They asked her lastnight, "Is Kevin good"....and she couldn't say anything...she could never say one good thing about anyone in the boardroom...which proves she has a very low self-esteem. She has to take every opportunity to only praise herself WHILE puttind down others. Not good in business.
You know, yours might be the first post on FR to ever make reference to both Donald Trump and Misty Mundane.
If selected carefully those french lace cut thingies can be sexy. But Ivana's last night were decidedly not so..
You're going to have to speak up. Try a larger font.
Rename the show "Desperate Apprentices".
Oh, we thought taking off one's skirt on city streets and twirling around so a guy could ogle crossed a line.
As Carolyn pointed out, they weren't buying the candy bar...
Hugely overblown lips, eyes sculpted into the facelift slant.......some people can work plastic surgery quietly onto their faces without it being obvious. Ivana's not one of them.
Ask and ye shall receive.
Team Mosaic:
And Team Apex prior to Ivana's "relvealing moment."
And Ivana in her skivvies...
He looked very wimpy in the boardroom last night.
But you're probably right.
I was just at the grocery store...these candy bars sell for $0.48.....LOL......I think it's Kevin's game to lose.....
I really believe it became Ivana's sole mission to see that Jen didn't win. And that explains everything that happened in last night's show.
But Jen won't win because demographics won't allow it. All these reality shows have at least one blonde hottie. It's obvious they do that to draw in the male audience. But it's bad theatre for the hottie to actually win the grand prize because the message it sends to all the non-lookers (like Ivana) is that looks win more than brains (which is probably true more often than people want to admit but people get upset when television reinforces the perception).
Sandy is not as telegenic nor as stereotypically blonde as Jen so that's why Sandy can win it all - because people can say that if looks were all that mattered, Trump would have chosen Jen.
The more I think about it, the more I'm almost convinced Sandy will win. This is, after all, NBC's show, not Trump's.
So that's why she may be a solid pick for the final episode.
Before last night's episode, I thought Ivana would win.
She had a great idea to market Levi Jeans, but Jen took all the credit.
OK, I dont know much about womens underwear, but I know what I like
Carolyn rolled her eyes while the old timer was defending Ivana with the 'at least she did something positive for her team' explanation..
Or vice-versa
...even though she did get the boot in the end.
Is "the boot" some sort of new slang that I'm not aware of?
/sarcasm and crude innuendo
She knew that Sandy and Jen were going to win as the 'M&M Twins' and her record as project manager was not comparable to the two other men, so she decided to take a gamble and create the biggest ruckus she could under the law.
Actually, it may have been a calculated decision in that she might get more consulting contracts in the long run because of the infamy.
