As a Yankee fan, I can't say I'm shocked about this, but I'm disgusted. And the Yankees still owe him $82 million over the last four years. I wish Jason would just retire now.

Hey, look on the bright side, one look at Giambi twitching in the dugout and no kid will ever want to take steroids again!

...And the Yankees still owe him $82 million over the last four years...

I wouldn't bet on that. I'm sure George has his lawyers looking that contract over right now. I bet Giambi isn't back, and he doesn't get paid.

Think Aaron Boone... The Yankees were very patient with Giambi all last year. They even carried his useless carcass on the postseason roster, when there was no chance he could produce. All the while, Giambi was lying to them about the nature of his condition and the reasons for it.

The Boss' patience is at an end.

Mañana Economics... or... "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today"

Well for the Yankees, it's Tuesday.

If what he did was illegal or otherwise in violation of the rules, then I don't think the Yankees owe him anything.

The Yankees get what they deserve. Just like Dan Rather with the fake doc, the Yanks either knew or should have known that Giambi was getting some "help." Same with the Mariners and Brent Boone.

BTW, isn't it a crime to leak grand jury testimony?
