Happy days for the Browns and their fans....
I guess scoring 48 points and still losing was too much for the Browns ownership.
Mike, the Browns had a great air campaign last week. They totaled over 400 yards and something like 48 points.
Davis does has strong recruiting ties to Florida (from his experience with University of Miami) and that can be a powerful influence on who the candidate should be. Though, I personally think Bob Petrino (sp?) of Louisville is the best pick for the Florida job.
Bad coaching can make a HUGE difference for any squad. New Offensive and Defensive coordinators for the Steelers have brought tremendous improvement this season.
Nothing personal. But Butch wrestled into a position of complete control of the team. Butch's coaching seemed to be adequate, but his personnel decisions were horrible. From Gerrard (Lunch Money) Warren, to selecting a free agent quarterback who didn't fit your system, (Garcia), to giving up a 2nd round pick to move up ONE spot in the first round to take Winslow. BTW Butch, Detroit would have taken Roy Williams ANYWAY!!!!!!!
Uh, nothing personal, but don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you Butch!
Butch won't be missed in Cleveland.
Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out, Butch.
Adios muchacho, and don't come back.
Yeah but at the end of the day they are still Cleveland. One of the few teams that has never been to a Super Bowl. (Sorry I am a Steelers fan that has hated the Browns since birth.) I did like Tim Couch who led the team to the playoffs a few years back. Holcomb got the credit but Couch started most of the games that season.
Here's looking to the '05 season.
BTW, why couldn't the Browns get somebody like Belicheck?
Only the most recent to go... soon to be followed by Erickson, Haslett, and maybe Mike Martz (how he still has a job after blowing the playoff game against Carolina last year is a mystery).
