There's a lot of good new stuff in it!
We'll get the Mithril vest at the gate (gasp)
We'll get a relationship between Faramir and Eowyn and the houses of healing. (Awwwww)
We'll get the confrontation between Gandalf and the Witch King (purdy %&#%! cool)
We'll get Frodo and Sam in Orc gear getting sucked into that big Orc march (My poor Frodo)
EEEK! That is so uber funky rocking awesome. Wow. V, v, kewl. *sniffles* But once the EE comes out, what will be the point of life? Nothing to look forward to anymore, I mean. Unless the peeps let them make the Hobbit. :-) Oh happy day!
Can't wait...how many hours and minutes, all told, are there on this extended edition? Not counting the still graphics. There is a transcript of the EE accessible from TORN for those of us with slow connections and computers.

The scene with the Mouth of Sauron is MUCH more heartbreaking than even the snippet in the Official Preview.
