With the dems now accusing the reps of stealing another election via Ohio disenfranchisement, it's really frustrating to even discuss politics with these liberals anymore. Any suggestions as far as how to reply to one of these loons when they make these kinds of comments?

Just tell them the truth:
"Republicans have never needed to steal an election. Our success of late has been due to preventing Democrats from stealing elections. We've finally got their number!"
Yes, look them in the eye and with compassion in your voice, explain they are suffering from "Bush Derangement Syndrome", let the know help is available.
If you want to be mean and they are into new age nonsense, just tell them Bush is the Karma for 8 years of Bill Clinton we suffered though and if you REALLY want to screw the Cosmo up, vote for Hillary in 2008 and the crap will really hit the fan.

I don't know. With the recent relevations that Lincoln was wired with a secret electronic transmitter/receiver during his debates with Stephan Douglas and that Ike was a major stockholder in Mercedes-Benz during WW II, the web seems to be pretty wide and deep.
I can empathize. My folks are liberals and I am the black sheep of the family. My older sister has come around to the conservative point of view, but isn't registered to vote, so I don't consider her a Republican.
Last Christmas, .45MAN and my father got into a shouting match over, as my father put it, "Your war-mongering president." Since then, my mother has made us promise not to discuss politics when we are together.
My nephew, a law student, *was* very conservative. My sister tells me he voted for sKerry. I don't understand it. He's not coming home for Thanksgiving, but at Christmas I'll have to pull him aside and ask him "What gives?"

Cognitive dissonance was first investigated by Leon Festinger and associates, arising out of a participant observation study of a cult which believed that the earth was going to be destroyed by a flood, and what happened to its members — particularly the really committed ones who had given up their homes and jobs to work for the cult — when the flood did not happen. We too have our Liberal Loons in the family...just yesterday I heard our Matriarch is expecting a "Hillary!-Obama" ticket in 2008...can you believe that? Automatic LOOSERMAN !!
At work, I have three loons I like to tweak...one guy, just after the election, said that he hoped he wasn't going to be put on "The List" for extermination...I told him that if he was nice to me, I would make sure he was just put in a camp for re-education...trouble is, he actually was SERIOUS about being exterminated!! I haven't gotten "The" memo yet about that have any of you???
