I have noticed whenever a radical leftist like Ted Ralls, Patty Murray, Susan Sontag, Noam Chomsky etc., make outrageous statements or do outrageous things, like that 9/11 comic by Ted Ralls, there is no condemnation from the left. On the other hand, if some right winger like Jerry Falwell who made that blame America first statement after 9/11, many conservatives jumped on him for that. If the left is silent about what lefists do and say, they are accepting it. Most of the left has blamed America for 9/11, praise Castro, Stalin, Hitler, and other socialist despots. Therefore, I could argue that collective guilt could apply to the left.
Well firstly, all aspects of the left are all about the collective, and secondly, the left are sheep - they all sing from the same hymn sheet - they are incapable of questioning their own orthodoxy.
i just finished "unholy alliance", by david horowitz. i highly reccomend this book to anyone who wants some insight into how the left thinks.
