Just curious what all you fellow freepers do for a living and are you living your dream, still following your dream, given up on your dream...
I am not doing exactly what I wanted to do...I wanted to be either pilot or a archeologist...neither of which happened!!
Now I am in the safety/security field at a large office furniture maker. Far cry from a pilot...what about all of you?
My wife is looking forward to a new combined career as stay-at-home mom and freelance writer. She's already a professional writer, but employed by a magazine (which is like a regular job), and wants to give that up. So, my PhD will free her to do that, and let our family grow.
Oh, another reccomendation, if you want to go off into a more imaginative realm...anything by Zacharia Sitchen. My Middle East Studies first turned me on to him. His ideas are way, way out there, but the man's knowledge is incredibly vast, and his books are entertaining.
Your summation of his ideas are quite correct. Most of his ideas are discussed elsewhere by more "readable" authors. I am really hooked on the CRI authors and Ross, Gish and Ham, Jordan, Denton, Stoner, Baker, Morris, et al. When that vein is exhausted I will seek out new authors.
Happy Reading.
