Try this one. It is about the tastiest thing you will ever eat. I only eat it on Thanksgiving because it is very rich and unhealthy.

Grind some oyster crackers and coat some select oysters with them. Saute the cracker coated oysters in real butter at a low temperature for about 10 minutes on a side (very low temperature)in a teflon fry pan. They will become golden brown and crusty on the outside. The cracker crumbs will soak up the butter, yielding an artery clogging treat.

These are 10 times better than deep fried oysters. They have been a family tradition in my family for over 150 years.

I absolutely love oysters, but have never understood the love affair people have with deep frying them. The only way I really like them cooked is steamed....but I will definitely have to try your family recipe.

To me the BEST (practically only) way to eat them is freshly shucked right out of the shell!!!

I've eaten oysters practically all my life, but it wasn't until the first time I had oysters from Chincoteague that I truly understood what a masterpiece of delight and oyster can be. I never truly enjoyed "regular" oysters after that...........but now I have no problem, I live 15 minutes away!!!!

BTW - I took a look at your homepage - you're a hoot!!!! Good for you!
