Oh, thats right, I'd temporarily forgotten that all the post hurricane clean up is still going on. I'll bet it is going to be hard finding someone available who is on the same wave length, so to speak. LOL In the meantime, go to a good news stand and get copies of magazines like Coastal Living, Verandah, Southern Accents, Town and Country, etc and start pouring over them for ideas. Home Depot also has some good "Idea" books. :)
Yes, I noticed the colors right away and I like them, too.
I went to all reds and golds this year. Redid most everything in my public rooms. I am always messing about with my bedroom.
I am just so loving this new color manderian . I simply must have more of it. I still love my reds but, I don't know. When I think of parting with them, I can't.
I think Lee Jofa has a decent coastal collection this year.
Dang! I lived in Palm Springs for 2 years. I don't recall ever even wearing a jacket. In fact, I can remember wearing a bikini the week between Christmas and New Year's.
I got some names of good people from our girl agent. She just bought a house too, so she's passing on her secrets. She's been a great help.
I am tending toward Southwestern/Mexican/Tropical. I really only need to buy a dining room set and kitchen set right now.. I should know them when I see them, like the house, lol. The leather living room set and rug should be fine.
I can see blue and white tile objects, Mexican wall stuff, like their mirrors etc., and dark furniture maybe. I am looking at the light fixtures, dark cabinets, and the darker (thank ghod) tile floors. The appliances will all be Stainless, and the counter tops are black with some brown granite.
What do you think?
I need to get out to the stores and see what's out there. They are still heavy into Hemmingway here, but I don't like it.. It's way too heavy. I want more color than that.
I will look for him..lol. Is he good looking too?
That really stinks. Was this over the same incident, or something since?
I use Schumacher fabrics, but Vervain has some nice ones this year.
Pup! Have you been flashing the bikini clad ladies?
Yes, all that sounds like it would work just great with the colors you have. Don't you already have alot of blue and white in your other house that will work in the new place or do I have that confused with the house in NH ? Oh, yes, I absolutely love the look of the dark granite counter tops.
Nice going. Feels good, doesn't it?
LOL. Depends...
Yes.. I do have lots of Blue and Yellow. Hey, I'm not dumping my hutches, it's going to be eclectic anyway. I collect what I like and am not a stickler for any particular style.
I just join all the things I like and go for broke, lol.
LOL..oh I get it.. (I think)
In addition to what Darlin said, I love the magazine Su Casa for all things Mexican. It rocks. I also like Florida Design for the latest looks for Coastal property. Good ideas found there.
Thats right, just go for it. No guts, no glory. FOFL.
LOL. Anyway Lee Joffa has lots and loads of great ideas and good looks for coastal homes this Season. I think we'll see alot of interesting ideas in the upcoming months, since alot of people are having to rebuild.
Sounds like a photoshop challenge to me.
Most of the Fl stuff here is pastels. I don't do pastels well...lol.
Every damn house here looks the same, I swear. No pastels for me, lol.
I loved my house in Mass.. It was predominately reds and blues, with dark woods. Lots of stained glass lighting. I told everyone I was copying my fav cocktail bar. I did have some good parties there too, lol
Florida Design ! Thats one I was trying to think of but the name escaped me. :) They really do have some very good ideas for those of us who don't live on the coast all the time.
