Just starting my Christmas cooking and organizing.
Making the Apple Pie today, and tomorrow,..Standing Rib Roast, roasted potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding. With veggies of course..;)
Tonight Christmas Eve dinner will be Antipasto Salad and Snow Crab Legs. My belly has been off, so we saved the Crab for tonight.
Hope you have a feast too, after all it's the holidays... ;)
Except for one committment early this afternoon, I'm finished with my preparations. Can sit back and enjoy, freep, perhaps a nap later. Will need a nap actually to make it past late Candlelight Services.
I am from Orem actually, (45 miles east from SLC) but I travel to and from Salt Lake every day. Did you go skiing at The Canyons when you came to Utah?
Well, that's the plan, but I do have to take the kids to Little Rock on Sunday for their flight. We're not supposed to get any more snow. It is really cold though, and it might not get above freezing before then.
Dawn was so disappointed that we couldn't get to our hair appointment. I did find someone here to do hers today, but I don't know her. I hope she's good.
Hey grannie!! my dad talks about you all the time, that's how I know you :D
I feel your pain.
There's no hope......
:-)
Mmmmm, sounds good grannie! Boston Clam Chowder with hot crusty bread for dipping is traditional for us on Christmas eve along with cut up fresh veggies and dip and a strawberry salad I make.
I have one of those egg/sausage/cheese casseroles in the refrigerator ready to go into the oven while we unwrap presents and with some fruit that's breakfast. Then ham with raisin sauce, carmelized sweet potatoes, hashbrown casserole (let me know if you don't find a recipe), green bean casserole with the fried onions that everybody likes, cranberry sauce (I don't know why that's just the way it is) and this year daughter is making cookies for her new boyfriend so think we will just use some of her cookies for dessert.
LOL...he's always said very nice things about you, so he'd better be talkin nice about me too...or else....Grannie will get him...;)
It's all starting to make sense now.
Oh...they are going back so soon? You got robbed Libby, and what a shame.
I'm sure you've enjoyed every second of their visit anyway.
It was awesome. Loved the Bald Mountain lifts and runs, especially Stein's Way......
LOL! don't worry...he never says anything bad or mean ;)
You are making me hungry waaaay too early, lol. Sounds wonderful. If I screw up, I'll just come there.. ;)
We are doing a ham, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, corn, salad and pineapple upside down cake. There will plenty of leftovers so we won't have to cook tomorrow and can just relax and enjoy the day.
Oh don't say there's no hope....pleaaaaaaaaaase. We are getting a little sick of rescheduling everything.
I don't even have this house pulled apart, and I'm not going to until I know something for sure. :(9
Of course he wouldn't. He's a wonderful man, and a good friend.
Well, they got to be here a week, but it's too bad that we lost those couple of days. Oh well. There are others who have more to complain about. We are really enjoying our time together, and for whatever other problems the weather caused, we DID have a lot of "bonding" time.Nothing brings people together quite like a crisis. LOL!
Our town was Republican dominated, I met Nixon as he was campaigning for Governor of California (he failed)......my Democrat parents were mortified.
