Snow looks pretty from the inside, when you don't have to set foot out of the house, but, as far as I'm concerned, I don't care if I never see it again.
Oh my GOSH!!!! I can understand - we just spent 13 hours on what should have been a five hour drive. Agh! Glad you are back.
Well, now I can go to sleep without worrying of yall. I just knew you were having a bad weather time of it, Libby.
And yes, I know what you mean about that unnatural stuff called snow. God, in his wisdom, made it for yankees. Someone up there made a mistake and dumped it on us. LOL
I was so worried about Nermal. I had the deadbolt on and the only 2 people with the key to the house are the landlady and the handyman. The handyman is out of town for 3 weeks and the landlady lives on the opposite side of the county and couldn't get out of her driveway. I was so thankful to get home AND that we hadn't broken down farther away, so as bad as it was, it could have been much worse. For awhile I was afraid we were going to be spending Christmas stuck in traffic. I was talking to a Little Rock cop around 10 this morning, and he said there were 285 accidents reported since 8 am and probably a lot more that weren't. I'm sure that some people's Christmas will be sad as result, so I feel I have a lot to be thankful for, especially getting home safely. I think many did not.
Aaaaaarrgghhhhhh!!!!!!!! Read my previous posts.
Dawn made me very proud yesterday. We were talking about the president and the election and she, out of the blue said, "I miss President Reagan. He was such a good president." Then she said that Bush was probably the closest we've had, but that still, he was no President Reagan. Every time I think she may be showing signs of developing liberal tendencies, she will surprise me with something like that, and I feel like I must have done something right.
Indeed. No wonder they're so grumpy all the time.
I finally had time to re-register so people would quit telling me about my other screen name, so yeah, hopefully you can get used to this new name, it's shorter, and easier to type...lol

I can imagine. I've never seen such a sight as two weeks ago around Flagstaff. There were cars off the road EVERYWHERE and today on the news back East, it looked like a repeat. I've had enough snow to last me awhile - way too scary out there. Good thing we are only flying to LA and SF Christmas morning (the only time Iceman could get off). I'm glad it wasn't our year to go to Indiana.
Cripes!
Welcome home safely!
I wish I could have, Gran. By 11 am today, I just wanted to sit and have a good cry, but I decided to stop and do some thinking about how to get out of town. Took the risk of a northern route that was actually longer, but it ended up paying off. There was absolutely no way to come either of the normal routes and typical alternate routes were equally impassable. It was looking pretty hopeless at times.

And you are the son of Sundog?
I can see it, Gran.
Only one? Those things were responsible for most of the trouble in Little Rock, Conway and surrounding area. They should make it illegal for the d**n things to be on the road in this weather!
See, that's the nice thing about living in the south and doing my job. I don't have to look for Jerry Springer reruns. I live in them.
His daughter actually, but that's all good :)
Oh good, a daughter. Now tell us about your dad. I don't know him from adam's apple, being new to this thread.
Thanks! I love guns with a passion, even though I am more of a "mideval weapons of terror" person...
