I hear alot about that on TV, but never knew anyone that had it done.
Thanks for the tip
Creepy aren't they
Sounds like the cat my sister had *L*
It use to be, that to go to a day spa, we had to drive down to Philly, which my MIL would never drive to ... but with all the new development popping up around my way the last few years ... so are the businesses that are also in Philly ..
A couple of new day spa opened around here, but I didn't know much about them so I called my sister to get the scoop since they're over by where she lives.
I hope she likes it because I am out of other ideas for her present
Well I'm off to concur the stores ... wish me luck
We had some marginal spas in town...unlicensed sort of places that I would never venture into.
Then a new spa opened here in town. The woman who does the massages has flown on trips with Rush Limbaugh and another notable whose name I've forgotten; she is much in demand apparently.
Nearly all my women friends ask for gift certificates to this place and get manicures, massages, facials, etc. It's something most of us feel guilty spending $$ on ourselves but it's something we really enjoy. If your mil is like my mother and most older women, if they see something they want, they buy it themselves which leaves us at Christmas time with very little left to buy them.
Good luck at the mall; I have one more trip to make next week...mostly just for fun to listen to the music and watch the kids and have lunch with a friend. Today is cookie baking day with some women in the 'hood.
later...
OK, you computer geniuses, I need a little help. When I got to a website that has .pdf files using my IE, I get the little colored icon, no next, and Adobe reader doesn't load. If I use the firefox browser, no problem. Is this a setting problem? I'd say the answer is to just use Firefox, but I'm genuinely curious as to what the problem is, and how I can fix it. Thanks.
And, GOOD MORNING, everyone. Nully, you up yet? And was that you on the Brian Sussman show (David Gold subbing for Suss) last night? Someone name Nully called in.
That was me. Who else would call him davidtalker?
Ratboy woke me up at 0600...
Why on earth would you use IE????
Another thing I didn't know is that the Amber Alert was delayed in being called because "the case did not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert because authorities did not know the child's hair or eye color or any other details". (From that same article)
And I hadn't heard this either:
Espey said he had gone to a local member of Congress after he was told that the case did not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert because authorities did not know the child's hair or eye color or any other details. He said the alert was delayed until about midnight Thursday. "I'm a little disappointed that it happened like it did," he said. "All of us standing here feel like this baby, even though it was taken a month premature, we had a live baby. I feel like that should justify an Amber Alert."
I'll say. Maybe I'm just not up to speed on this aspect of the story but I wonder what member of Congress he contacted and what strings were pulled in order to get the Amber alert issued.
habit?
Now I've got another problem. My husband's teenage nephew was here last weekend, and used my computer (without my permission, I might add). When I booted it back up, every messenger in the world (AIM, MSN, AOL) loaded with bizarre messages and requests to add a name to the buddy lists. ARRGGGH!!! And now, I can't get the sound to work. I've checked the settings, the sound isn't muted, the speakers are on - no sound. I was trying to buy some more tunes from iTunes, and wanted to listen to a couple of them, and I don't have any sound. I'm feeling homicidal right now.
(quietly tiptoeing away...)
Not towards you, toward a certain 16-year old boy. I haven't had sound on my computer since last weekend, and it's only today that I've tried to restore it. Never let a teeneager use your computer if you can help it. At least he didn't download any viruses for me.
That you know of...
I use Norton, and I've scanned the hard drive, and Norton didn't pick up anything. Yes, that I know of. I wonder what happened to the sound. This is really annoying.
I just wonder what happen is this women suffering from post mortium....what medication was she taking...I think we are having a spiritual warfare through drugs!
Too much of this seems to happening remember the yates case or that person who drowned her children in a car etc!
It seems like weak minded people are going over the edge and doing things like we usedto read in the tabloids from Europe!
Stinnett, who was eight months pregnant, had earlier been talking with her mother on the phone, and hung up saying a woman she had chatted with online had just arrived at her door, authorities said.
Go to your control panel and troubleshoot (then shoot the teenager) and see if that helps.
Yesterday, I made my weekly visit to TrendMico for the free housecall scan which revealed 26 virii which it could not clean. Then I fired up the BitDefender and ran it: it showed the 26 plus 2 more...after running it twice, the machine "appears" to be squeaky clean once more.
That would be TrendMicro...
"Morning, Loddy. I've already gone to my control panel. I'm wondering if my sound card has gone bad. My computer is old enough that things have gone bad. The hard drive, modem and motherboard have all been replaced in the last year and a half.
My nephew plants to come visit at Easter, and he's going to help me build a new computer. I'll just keep this one going until then. And, if it's still running, I'll keep this one up and running just to have a 2nd one around. For sentimental reasons, I guess.
