A tad cool here - but I press on in shorts and tees.
Does anything suck harder than sitting down and paying bills?
(Maybe not having the $$$ to do it would be worse.)
Ack.
Welcome.
Sometimes there's more to it than the mere 'obvious analysis' but that gets kinda weird.
O-MG! Are you serious?
We have about 6 of them out in that area, now. Every so often one will get up, eat, and return to it's spot. :)I guess they are okay but wish I had a better wind break for them.
I have spotlights in that area. Wonder if I could turn them on and warm up that spot? Those lights are in the ground. It would help for heat purposes, but might scare them away? Especially tonight?
*chin scritch*
Perhaps.
I can't say that I've ever had a pervy dream.
ROFLOL. I love it. Streaker at heart, LOL.
Dunno.
Mourning Doves are an odd critter.
My mother in law had a hanging basket for a few years, and every year a Mourning Dove would nest in it.
Last year some squirrels knocked the basket down.
My mother in law, who doesn't like birds, absolutely HAD to get the birds a new basket.
Not sure what you can do for them for heat.
And not sure how they'd respond to you trying to help them.
They might frighten off and leave the eggs to the cold.
Perv-dream deprived.
*sigh*
Yuppers.
For me, it's the gawd awful notice from the accountant saying I've spent too much money that month and can't have any more! Makes me feel so stupid, inept and useless. He can get really mean about it.
O-MG, you think they might have babies in there? What an exciting thought.
.....Westy.....
Hey Westy. How are you Sweetie?
Is it cold there?
What a great idea. Thanks and I shall ask her. :)
Possibly.
Haven't heard of them nesting this late in the year, but it is possible if the area is warm enough during the day.
Oh, I see. Bess says if I'd stay out of the window and leave them be, they'd be a whole lot happier. :)
I'm hungry. Think I'll go find a snack. :) I'm totally useless today but it's been a long time since I've had a chance to visit.
Hi Sweetie. Just checking in to see what you think about the Peterson verdict.
.....Westy.....
Yep an outing with a nice lunch might be just the ticket.
Ringy, the doves are not nesting for egg laying in the winter. They are just trying to stay warm, drink and eat. They will be fine in your garden, as thats why they chose that location. Their only problem in a hard freeze is access to water, but your temps get over freezing during the day.
*chuckle*
They do sometimes get used to people keeping an eye on them.
My mother in law's birds are used to people looking out the window at them.
Momma bird just looks back.
Daddy gets slightly more annoyed though, stands up, huffs his wings and puffs his feathers out.
