There is some meaning to that kind of dream, but I forget what it is. Maybe Darks knows.
After I'd asked, I read where Gran called him Mango. Thanks, he is beautiful and looks so content and cared for.
You have two. I think that's good. I wish I'd gotten two dogs, instead of the one. I think she gets lonely.
Hello, Ringy! What loddy said - believe her. I still buy stuff for people I love who have everything or buy what they want or need, but I get little token things, like flowers that they'll enjoy, or scented soaps or lotions that most of us don't buy for themselves. I also make mixes of things (I bought a little book with all sorts of recipes) where you layer the dry ingredients in a decorative jar, then put the recipe for the rest of the add-ins, like eggs, oil, milk, whatever, and how to prepare it. Just things they can use, and not have to be concerned that it's something they'll stash in a drawer or closet and forget about.
I thought mourning doves were always ground feeders... The ones around here are on the ground all the time, and I have to rescue them from our cats!
Really? Wonder what? I had that one just once. I've had the underwater one several times.
Then, I've had one repeatedly about falling down stairs. I just go on and on down this endless flight of stairs. Weird.
I'm with you - pretty much anything I get my parents now is edible (jams, coffee, chocolates), burnable (wood or candles) or small like a music CD. I don't even like getting much myself these days besides candles. If we need it, we'll go buy it. Like Loddy says, immediately - lol!
Thank you. I think I'll take your and Loddy's advice. It's an unnecessary worry I've given myself. She's getting older, and I guess I'm always worried and looking for signs that she isn't feeling well or giving up or something.
I don't see any of that. She's just as contrary and bossy as ever. She just says she doesn't want anything. She'll let me know if she does. :) I'll just believe her and stop looking for hidden meanings. (I hope).
Maybe something about the stress in our lives for the underwater. The nikkedness might be about fear of public speaking. Who knows - wish I could remember. I've been plagued with psychotic nightmares most of my life, but was doing ok until Darks crept in one night.
You don't even want to know how many cats we have :)
Usually means an undue level of stress and anxiety over something one is worried about.
Sometimes means a specific amount of anxiety over being seen as 'transparent'.
Though every time I've had such dreams it merely indicated stress and some slight need for release of some type.
Well, they are supposed to be. My big, fat fellows get on the bird feeder every so often. I try to keep seed on the ground so they don't have to do that. :)
These birds aren't just feeding off the ground, they are nestled up in that bamboo patch. It's a smallish garden of bamboo and one huge pine tree, with ivy ground cover. There is a feeder at the beginning of that walkway and area.
I hope they've come to live in there. Do you know if Mourning Doves NEST on the ground?
I've had repeat dreams of ghost towns, semi-abandoned gardens, houses on long hidden driveways, and empty fairground style booths.
Also had repeat dreams where everything is dark and backlit with a strange ethereal light, and everyone looks like ghosts.
I've had "going to school in my underwear" dreams. I've read that that means I'm feeling unprepared for whatever it is I'm going to be facing. It's really weird - in the dream, it's something like me at school in my slip and hose (no shoes, even) and hoping that nobody notices! Yeah, right.
I've also had dreams where there is a huge terrifying storm coming.
Psychotic dreams are seemingly my specialty.
Though pervy dreams seem to never happen to me.
*sigh*
Thanks so much. Makes sense. I have very little privacy. I am always being checked on to see if I am still alive, I think. ROFLOL. I often feel my life is lived in a fish bowl anymore. :)
Mourning Doves will also nest in hanging baskets and spider plants.
Ahhhhh - missed the nesting part. I thought they were just considered ground dwellers in general so that would include everything. Ours have to perch on the phone wires though to stay away from the cats, and they usually seem to build their nests in the palm or lemon trees. But I think they have ground nests at the neighbors' who don't have cats.
Ask your Bess is she would like her own pet...dog, cat or bird? I realize she probably loves your dog despite her grumblings. But, sometimes a person would just love to have their own pet that sleeps on their bed.
Just a thought.
Someone only CAUSES pervy dreams!
LOL. It's unnerving, isn't it?
I hope this doesn't mean dreams are contagious. :)
If we all start having the same ones we can worry.
