I can't take the pain pills or muscle relaxers at all during the day if I have to be anywhere or do something. I'm zombied out. In fact, I only take half a muscle relaxer at night when they've been prescribed - they really knock me out. Amtrak could be an option - I considered it when I went to Ventura a couple of months ago, but it would have been an 11 hour trip. I drove it in 6 1/2 hours, not enough to really bother my back.

You're fighting for it now. It's a fight that won't end until the earth fold's its tent. There will always be evil to oppose, always be good folks to fight alongside.

Hey.....you read Lord of the Rings? It's a great allegory, I'm convinced more real than we think......Donning tinfoil hat......

"But, national security is not something I want to be wary of, really."

I guess I could take the national security issue a lot more seriously if we were making an effort to seal the d*mn borders, instead of letting every worthless POS that is sneaky enough to get here (as long as they're not white), to be rewarded for his efforts. If national security was the real issue, and it should be, that would be the highest priority. H*ll; we didn't even seal the border on 9/11, just slowed the leak a little.

"Depends on who's doing the groping"

That's why I qualified my earlier statement with "uninvited."

Oh, someday will you please tell me the story of how Sharky healed his pain?

Even the herbal muscle relaxers make me feel like I took a strong prescription pill... agh. The narcotic painkillers, well... can only take so many of those. Need to go to the doctor again and see if he's come up with a pain specialist for me. It's one of those times I'm desperate enough to think about acupuncture again. But last time I mentioned that, nully (I think it was he) posted a scary picture.

It was drilled into me growing up that you don't tell people your business. You don't talk about your bank account, you don't talk about what goes on in your bedroom and you don't talk about the cousin who "isn't quite right." Now, you so much as go in a store to make a cash purchase and they think they have a right to informaton about you. Sorry, but I see nothing in the Constitution that gives the government or the marketplace carte blanche access to other people's private lives.

Well, we can't seal the borders, as they leak like a sieve.

What we can do is in the nature of state's rights. If border states would deny health care, welfare, food stamps and crack down on companies hiring them...we would have no problem. Its a dirty little secret that in DC, most help are illegals.

It's a long story....but here's the abridged version:

That sounded a bit too much like Clinton though! Grrr! I'll feel your pain!!!!!!

Ok, ok.....here goes again....I tried lots of stuff, primarily chirocrunchers......which would help, but I found it wasn't really getting better, but actually worse.

My last visit to a chirocruncher was debilitating, so I got some kind of a reference to a back doctor, called himself a phosiatrist (sp?). He told me to stop the cruncher, got me to visit a Physical therapist who studied with an osteopath. She sort of helped me get it under control. She got me to do a set of exercises and stretches, plus worked on using some natural traction techniques.

I use Valium and head to bed if it ever goes out....*knocking on wood*....hasn't gone out for a couple of years now. Don't think I'm going to do any jumping in Utah though......

I am weary of always fighting. There should be periods of respite, but they are rare and short-lived. The greatest war horse will collapse under his load if he has no opportunity for rest.

Libby, I hate to tell you this, but I must. It is common knowledge that if anyone has a passport, been in the military or works in a government agency...your privacy has already been invaded and can be accessed.

Agh. Thank you for filling me in. I also saw a physiatrist (however you spell it). She prescribed massage, Ten's Unit, Thera-Cane... Previously I had seen a physical therapist. Was hoping you knew something I didn't. Glad you are better - maybe I'll join you one day :(.

I know a guy who actually had to have an operation.

It worked, he's great, but for me they don't actually have something they know enough about to operate on.....

No....I'm not faking it!

Keep looking. don't stop looking, and figure out how it happens to the best of your knowledge and how to control it.....have you tried using traction?

Yoikss....tough stuff.....I feel your pain......:-)

Have you been to a theme park lately? Their searches and security for season ticket holders would make airports look amateurish. LOL

Really??

I went to Hersey Park last year and though security checked your things .. I didn't think they were that bad
