Goodnight..
I had to take a break to zap me some supper..lol
.....Westy....
omg!
Do sneak into more places - that is just amazing.
Honest people, with a good product or service, delivered at a reasonable price, will always do well.
Big props to the Fluffster for taking the plunge and coming up alive.
Grannie, I hope my comment to your comment of "what do they do for a living" does not upset you. I ask myself this question when we drive by the more upscale neighhborhoods, just as you did, evidently. And I do not demean them for their good fortune. I am just curious as how they got there. See?
I am SO jealous! I want one of those.
I haven't even gotten my first one yet. I have other things right now that I have to make higher priority than my toys.
Hello to those of you I met before on here, and to others I haven't yet. I was away visiting my daughter who is ill...and I sure missed reading here.
It does seem like things have quieted down a bit now that the election is over. Thank goodness. I'm not being lulled into a false sense of security, but at least the high heat has been lowered. Maybe we can have some moments of sanity.
I know that ABC,CBS,NBC, CNN, and MSNBC are still spinning their old lines - and often I even question FOX as really being "fair and balanced," but I think, as much as all of them hate to admit it, they know WE/Americans cannot be fooled anymore. It might take a while, but maybe the next generation of broadcasters will have heeded the lesson the old ones are being taught now. With our loud voices, via the Internet blogs and FR especially, the sound of truth has successfully begun to drown out their old-line lies and rhetoric. They will keep on trying, but will keep getting shot down - instantaneously. It will be fun to watch as they fade away into obscurity.
Any predictions on what they will do when their careers crumble? How about Rather, Jennings, Couric, Lauer, Brocaw, for starters...? And others? What will their next careers be?
Is your desk always that clean? Whoa! About the only things we have in common is that pack of cigs., ashtray, and cup of coffee. Otherwise, I can't even see the top of my desk! LOL
You know, I've never thought of it, but I wonder how many of us here do smoke. I do...like a chimney.
I'm spending this day Christmas shopping on the net. My daughter and I shopped yesterday. The parking lots and stores were already packed. I ain't going to go through that hassle this year.
Did yall see this......?
Bush comes to aid of bodyguard
The Associated Press
SANTIAGO, Chile -- President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.
Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.
Abandoning the other three, Bush walked over to the agents, reached through the dispute and pulled his agent from the squabble.
The president, looking irritated, walked away with the agent. The incident was shown on APEC television.
"Chilean security tried to stop the president's Secret Service from accompanying him," said White House deputy press secretary Claire Buchan. "He told them they were with him and the issue was resolved."
Well, just damn....I funkled.
I cannot see the top of my desk,
but I do see the coffee and cigs.
Venison for Thanksgiving
I don't smoke but I think the proposed bans in AZ bars are just ridiculous.
Which one are you (venison hunt)?
That's my brother and his helper with the deer, assisted by John's Rhodesian Ridgeback poochie...the next pic is our great nephew, Carson, with his dad in the wash bay for my brother's trucks and trailers.
A beautiful location in the East Texas Piney Woods, just outside Nacogdoches...I want to steal Gran's new house and move it there.
Ours is a small town, but the largest between Memphis and St Louis, so we have an abundance of restaurants and bars. I've only been in one restaurant that had no smoking section. And the bars...well, our city council would be recalled promptly from their elective office if they ever considered banning smoking at bars.
