Christmas time is here, by golly,
Disapproval would be folly.
Deck the halls with hunks of holly,
Fill the cup and don't say when.

Kill the turkeys, ducks and chickens,
Mix the punch, drag out the Dickens.
Even though the prospect sickens,
Brother, here we go again.

On Christmas Day you can't get sore,
Your fellow man you must adore.
There's time to rob him all the more
The other three hundred and sixty-four.

Relations, sparing no expense, 'll
Send some useless old utensil,
Or a matching pen and pencil.
("Just the thing I need, how nice!")

It doesn't matter how sincere it is,
Nor how heart felt the spirit,
Sentiment will not endear it,
What's important is the price.

Hark, the Herald Tribune sings,
Advertising wondrous things.
God rest ye merry merchants,
May ye make the Yuletide pay.
Angels we have heard on high,
Tell us to go out and buy!

So, let the raucous sleighbells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend Kris Kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

The Well is dry on the East Coast not a note....NYC has a moratorium on Christmas dectorations and music!

Yes we have stores wanting our Christman dollars just not your Merry Christmas!

When I move to NYC in 72 little Italy and German town had Christmas dectorations...now German town is gone and I don't know what is going on in L.Italy...

I heard Califorina banned Thanksgiving!

Good Christmas music is enjoyable. Mall/Walmart Christmas music, on the other hand, makes me want to scream and get out of there as quickly as possible, kinda like when I go in a store that blasts rap music. It's like they hire people to butcher the classic Christmas songs as badly as possible. Most of the newer "arrangements" are positively horrible.I don't know how many times I've walked out of a store without buying anything because the noise music was so unbearable.

Wake up Nully!

Gran, you sobered up yet?

Darks, are you done with your nightly haunt of people's dreams?

BQ, you back from the desert?

Yoohoo...... (crickets chirping)

Morning Libby. I'm sober as a Judge. Unfortunately the only Judge I ever knew might not have been..lol.;)

Another lovely day in Southwest FL. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the canal looks like a small lake.

They have been working on the new house across the street since 6:30 this morning, with music playing. Saw a couple looking at it last night and she was jumping up and down in joy. You suppose her husband/whatever will buy it for her?

"You suppose her husband/whatever will buy it for her?"

Well, her husband might. Not sure about her whatever. It has been my experience that "whatevers" are pretty useless in the overall scheme of things, and I deal with a LOT of them.

I used "whatever" because you never know today what they might be, lol.

Sugar-Daddy, maybe? Insignificant Significant other, perhaps?

Like Sharky says, "whatever" fills lots of bills.
