You know that pretty extensive landscaping is going in from the builder..so I don't know how much room I'll have to add any.
The only part I have to leave alone for a year is between the pool wall and the canal. I have to let the sod get a good grip there before I add any palms or other things.
What is that you're referencing?
Around the sides of the house you have scallops. At the point of each scallop, you have a palm tree. I love it. Do they plan to continue that look poolside? It looks to have the scallops in place. That sort of landscaping is EX-PEN-SIVE. :) Also very well groomed and simply beautiful.
Fairly low profile this year (which is just fine with me), but Mrs.L and I will go to her brother's home for the feeding.
My MIL missed her connecting flight to the 'nnati this morning, so she won't get to her daughter's home until midnight or so. She told me on the way to the airport, "I wish Cindy had booked me a non-stop flight..." Oh well.
The squirrels are going nuts around here in preparation for a winter which may, or may not, show up - still short and tees weather here in the soggy CenTex.
Your friend's nic is .38sw btw.
Cheers, Ringy.
That scalloped area behind the pool. Shot at 118-1815. What area is that and is that the garden area?
Oh no..lol.. That is the neighbors yard. I took that pic because my agent wants her gardener to do that with her yard..
Isn't that pretty?
That reminds me.. I have to send her that pic... today!
Great news on su casa. Just super.
Thanks Lod. I think my Christmas may be a little messed up, but we had no plans so it won't matter much.
You know when you get our age, you can take a little holiday from all the frills and chills and still survive it. My.... I've had my share and peace is sometimes nice too..lol
Thanks Loddy. It sounds so pleasant. I know you'll enjoy yourself.
Right now, the land hasn't even been graded yet. Do you know we have no topsoil in Fla duh? All our stuff is planted in good sand. I didn't know that until today. You should see our yard dirt, it is nothing but sea shells.
Oh, I see. Thanks Gran. It is going to rock. I am so excited for you.
Oh, I understand about the indoor plants now. I'd just assumed you had some sort of caretaker to check in on your homes and do little chores when yall were gone.
OH right.. I should be so lucky. lol In this house, Mario/Deano keeps an eye on it, but I would never make anyone water my plants.
It's so sad, because I have to live that way at home too. Had to give all my live stuff to the kids to keep. I really miss them, but there is really no easy way out of it.
Tricky area - I wouldn't want YardGuy to fall into the pool or the canal...use some sort of ground cover that is low, and maintenance free would be my suggestion.
Either that, or tile it.
Good luck. I know it will be lovely whatever you do.

A garden behnd the pool ? Is that between your house and the neighbor's ?
Oh the builder is planting that whole area, and it will have a covering of that Volcanic rock or something. The yard guy will only spay it now and then. It should be pretty self sustaining.
Red sunbrellas, red cushions on teak deck chairs. chinese lanterns to hang from the umbrellas. Candelier over the table. Black candles in candelier will make it look like suspended fire. :) The black will disappear at night, as if you didn't know.
You are SO sweet to let us dream.
That house looks so rock solid. Feels like it'll be there a hundred years, doesn't it?
