In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today.

The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. I’m just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words “as if” can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.

New WFTD:

Challenging.

How about this ?

Unwilling to accept defeat, the ultraliberal create their own solipsism through a vast array of tin-foil blogs.

Morning, Slip-

The party of delusional 'rats
Is collectively depressed-
That their poodle would be defeated
They never would have guessed

That their self absorbed solipsism
Caused this to come to pass
Is a truth they would see plainly if
They'd remove their head from their a**

They realize they must make changes
If their party's relevance is to be seen
So they contemplate more relevant leadership-
Under screamin' Howard Dean

I've got a long drive to a jobsite in heavy fog today-back later...

Both Vastie and I read Dean Koontz. That was one of his words in his last book. The meaning from Dean Koontz was more of someone who is a seer. They can see what is going to happen, but usually can't do anything until after the fact.
