Anyway, we went to the Paris premier (in English with French subtitles). As a typical young boy of about 10 or so I was enchanted by this movie with almost no women and no mushy stuff.

Wow. I probably would have fainted dead away. I mean, I was just *so* in love with him and Richard Burton in Beckett. And, remember The Lion in Winter?

I have a VHS copy of Lawrence of Arabia. I truck it out every now and then to watch.

I remember them all, Miss Angel. Another thing I like about him: I almost never watch Leno, but not too long ago I ran across a Leno show (I had insomnia that night) during which he sat there smoking cigarettes like there was no tomorrow. Who else has ever done that in these PC times? Way to go, Peter!

That's why he's still alive. I guess you didn't see the interview with the 122-year-old French woman a few years ago. The interviewer asked her if she smoked or drank. As I remember, her response was pretty close to "Hell, no, I gave up whiskey and cigarettes when I was 116!"

When I slid over to let him drive, we were still moving.
And there was a neato detour around the field back there.
I think CG is waiting for us back on the main drag.

I do have to remove the scarecrow from the hood though.

LOL! I remember that French lady. Her landlord wanted to turn her apartment building into condos. At the time I believe she was nearing ninety and he promised her he would wait until she passed on.

Unfortunately for the landlord, *she* outlived *him*!
