I wasn't sure what to think when I heard that Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott would be starring in the DUKES OF HAZZARD movie.
On one hand, it's much better than Ashton Kutcher and Paul Walker. On the other...it's Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott. But in all fairness to both those guys, I think they can both be pretty funny given the right project - ones they just haven't found yet (save from Johnny's work on "Jackass").
Lucky for us, the project is under the watchful eye of Jay Chandrasekar, the director behind Broken Lizard and lately doing great work on the award-winning "Arrested Development."
Anyway, a scooper named "Brian" sent in the first pictures from the DUKES set giving us our first look at Bo, Luke and Daisy Duke, and of course the General Lee. Check them out below and let us know what you're thinking about all this...

Looks like it may be sans flag for the General.
I will not be in attendance. How sad. It's just a MOVIE. What's the difference between Gods and Generals and Dukes of Hazzard?
"In regards to the flag on top of the car...Okay...here goes. I seemed to have gotten access to the construction set in Baton Rouge. It's very tight-lipped and hush-hush. Where the testing happens, the painting and the other star cars are is almost impossible to see from outside the compound. BUT, the flag is on the roof of the car. The name is STILL the General Lee. Absolutely nothing has changed from the original car. Actually, one thing is different. The grills have been painted mostly black, versus the silver color from the series. The big guys liked it better black. I also found out the doors were never welded shut, even on the tv series. That was for safety purposes. Also found out that none of the cars have the Dixie horn. That's all added in during the cut and splice (editing) stage. Bummer for me. After riding and sliding in the Lee with stunt driver Kevin Scott, I can attest to the 440's power. I got video of it. Awesome ride. Gone through many tires these guys have. I'm still taking pictures so I'll have a nice library of pics! Some things in life are definitely worth kissing butt over!!!"
I couldn't stand this show as a kid. It was on Friday nights, and If I was home on Friday nights, it meant I wasn't at Stafford Motor Speedway watching my modifieds go round & round.
Back in the '70's I think they had something like 50 Dodge Chargers on the lot at any one time..
