You are right the left has been more proficient in creating buzzword concepts...of course they do have MSM to spread their kant.
"homophobe" is a good example, it immediately sets one in a defensive rhetorical position if one accepts it (all of the lefts buzzwords are designed to steal the rhetorical high ground before an argument has been made).
As one who lives in San Francisco (and yes you are right about SF, they are absolutely ad hominum demeaning to anyone who does not agree with them - believe me I know!!)- I reject "homophobe", I have no phobia regarding these people, they do not frighten me. But the left wants to create the immediately unequal ground for argument where you are a person reacting out of fear not reason.
"No," I say, "Rather I have a negative tropism toward homosexuality, I tend to lean away from it's presence."
That is a matter of taste and judgement on my part, not fear.
Even "homosexual" is a win for them. The word should be "homophilia" and "homosexual" should be reserved for use based on actions, not preferences.
Someone might be a kleptomaniac, but not steal. Heck, if you want to make it parallel, how about "homomaniac"?
