tHE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO FIX MEXICO'S ECONOMY SO WE CAN BE EQUAL PARTNERS IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE.

Good Idea. Hate to say it but that ain't gonna happen fast enough to prevent the u. S. from becoming the world's richest third world s***h***.

Build the damn wall now and be done with it.

Cut them off and you remove the incentives for those you hate.

Uhhh, excuse me strawman beater, just who the hell ever said I hate illegals? Pathetic attempt at stealing the high moral ground, unfortunately that land's not for sale. I simply want these people to come over orderly so they don't take benefits, close hospitals, clog freeways, and steal American's jobs.

If you think what you said is clear, than it was the last of the 3; you are an idiot. Because you don't want benefits to be cut off if you are stating that you want more immigration, whether its legal or otherwise. That is just patently contradictory.

Take off the tin foil. I believe an earlier poster cited Jim Robinson's quote regarding immigration I have on my homepage. I agree with Jim. Do away with the benefits and you'll find that the immigrants who do come here will be composed more of the type you CLAIM you want. So if you would actually work to see that benefits are reduced for ALL, then you'll get what you tell others you want. However, I suspect your hate for Mexicans runs quite a bit deeper and you'll never be satisfied unless we round up anyone not like you and put them in concentration camps.

Free Republic Opinion Poll: Do you approve of the plan to let some of the eight million illegal aliens in the United States move toward legal status without penalty -- but with social security benefits?
Composite Opinion
No 85.2% 1,400
Yes 8.8% 145
Undecided 6.0% 98
100.0% 1,643

New FR Poll: Conservative Mandate Means We Hold Their Feet to the Fire!
November 3, 2004 | Jim Robinson

Does the Bush victory and the Republican gains in the House, Senate, and State Houses signal a clear mandate for a more conservative governance? In other words, should we hold their feet to the fire for strong national defense, smaller government, reduced taxes, conservative judges and defense of traditional American values?

http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/poll?poll=70

Yes. 95.0% 7,408
No. 3.2% 250
Pass. 0.9% 74
Undecided. 0.9% 67

If you feel as strongly about this as I do, then you will agree that there's no time like the present to get started. I believe that GWB will continue doing a great job on national defense and the war, but, as we all know, we also need to start shifting some resources to beefing up our border security. How do we do this?

"No, that's every conservative on Free Republic who believes illegal immigration is a severe problem that endangers our nation."

Don't believe the hype that a handful of disruptors want you to.

Obviously you haven't a clue what it takes to become a LEGAL immigrant, so my discussion with you is over.

As the President says, there is a natural right to be free. Whether you choose to call someone legal or illegal, doesn't change the fact that we, has human beings, all have a right to live where we want.

I went on a trip with Roger Hedgecock - it was a "Hold their feet to the fire" trip - there were 130 of us. We were in and out of the congress buildings for 3 days, lobbying congress for tax cuts.

Duncan Hunter's office staff welcomed us with open arms - not just because we were from San Diego (though I'm sure that helped) - but his staff allowed us to use Duncan's office as a resting and regrouping place within the congress - AND they provided all kinds of lunchmeat, cheese, chips, and soft drinks. It's a memory that will stay with me for years.

I never did get to meet him.

Just knowing what kind of person Duncan is .. it really irks me when people say ALL politicians are crooked or some such slur.

" doesn't change the fact that we, has human beings, all have a right to live where we want."
Really? Many of us are leaving the homes we had all our lives because of being run out by gangs of illegals. I'm glad it hasn't hit you. Talk to the people trying to "live where they choose" along the Arizona border.

As for your insult about my reading abilities, (your post 46) I agree with you and Jim, cut off the benefits and they'll stay home. That's what prop. 200 tried to do, that's what we all advocate, so why all of your vitriol?

If personal insults is all you have, please don't bother to reply, as per the RULES of this forum.

Oh stop complaining you cranky old poster. You're rude, vile and disgusting in your behavior towards me, yet you're the first to cite rules. What hypocracy.

Proposition won't save the state of Arizona a damn penny and you know it. It will be overturned in court so fast your girdle will pop. It's crazy to think that any state can superceed the clear commands of the constitution that provides that congress and ONLY congress can dictate policy regarding one's country of origin.

Had any of the clowns in AZ really wanted to address this issue, they would reduce welfare for ALL.

Read the links.

I won't go through all of them, but the one that sticks in my mind as absolutely unacceptable is. . .

The Smith Amendment would have stripped the expanded expedited removal provision from H.R. 10. This is the provision that has the potential to dramatically increase deportations of illegal aliens by eliminating the appeals process. Somewhere around 2.5 million illegal aliens could be subject to the expedited removal provision.

Read this somewhere...seems to apply to the flingers, attempting to overwhelm you with "facts". . .Those massive replies that seem to go on and on about everything in creation

It also serves two important purposes. One, to overwhelm the reader or listener with information. Presented with countless particulars and tiny specifics, one simply cannot investigate, much less evaluate, all of them one by one. Potential critics are swamped. That effect accounts, at least in part, for the success of the Invader and it's supporters.

You should take a swing through Hudson County, NJ and see what America looks like as a third world nation, you might change your mind. I have.

Wow, you sure are off on some tangents, perhaps that is how you can make statements that simply don't jive, unless of your you are like the Clinton your handle claims to dislike and simply like to pander to both sides. Lets review;

YOU:I must share with you that I happen to favor increasing immigration

YOUR PAGE: Now that's what I've been saying all along. Some people are fighting the wrong battle here. Eliminate the welfare state and a huge percentage of your illegal alien problem goes away. -- Jim Robinson

Now rectify that. You claim there is no reason to differentiate between the breaking the law and being cleared to come here; I assume you mean "Legal" immigration?
Call it what you will. I think immigration is a healthy thing for this country.

Then you have the laughably inappropriate stab at me to Take off the tin foil. Take your own advice and try to think before you post things like that.

Do away with the benefits and you'll find that the immigrants who do come here will be composed more of the type you CLAIM you want.

When did I ever CLAIM anything? I want people who break the law, get the free benefits, as well as steal jobs from American workers to be prosecuted. I am not a Cheap Labor Republican who wants to Privatize profits and Socialize costs, sorry.

However, I suspect your hate for Mexicans runs quite a bit deeper and you'll never be satisfied unless we round up anyone not like you and put them in concentration camps.

Back to this old saw again. Either you are confusing me with an earlier poster, you are confused by what I said, or you are flat out lying to paint yourself as some holier than though defender against the Nazis, but in any case I will assure you I have no hate for the illegals. They have a horrible socialistic country, I'd probably leave it too, however that doesn't mean its in the best interest of America for all these people used to a socialist style government to come into my nation, and I am loyal to America, not to Republican campaign contributors.

You're not supposed to let the numbers out.

That's a rough estimate of the members on the ping list, not everyone concerned about the issue by a long shot. I like to believe we more than make up for it in quality...we're definitely more conservative as a whole than most other interest-groups on Free Republic and possess the least amount of mindless party 'bots. Independent thinking and the courage to stand up for what's right are traits to be proud of, in my opinion. This issue demands it.
