Anyone else here using the Firefox browser and, if so, what are your impressions of it?

It's great at stopping popups and all that kind of junk, but seems to run a lot slower than most browsers.

I use it all the time, and like it a lot. The extensions are particularly nice--if you use it, be sure to grab Adblock.

Thanks for the tip. I'm gonna download it and give it a run.

It's good, very good. Tabbed browsing is great, and on my system, it loads and runs faster than Internet Explorer 6.

I've heard several people make the same comment. That, plus I understand it's much more secure than IE6.

I'm still trying to think in Russian.

Linux is my next step on the road to weaning myself from Microsoft all together. (Perhaps we could start a 12-Step group..Microsofters Anonymous? Hi, my name is XXX, and I'm a Microsofter. It's been 10 days since I last used a Microsoft product.)

The touchpad on my notebook will not scroll the Firefox pages, no matter what I do to it. :o(

Have you tried flowers and chocolate? Usually works on the wife when she doesn't want to "scroll".

Using it now. Like it much better than IE. Faster. Nice.

The tabs are great. Don't have all those pages running separately....

I use it on W2000 and OS X...I won't use anything else.

Be sure to check out the extensions!

Downloaded it yesterday. Seems fine so far. No noticeable difference from IE, other than security seeming tighter.

Its OK, but Netscape has the ability of right-clicking on a link and selecting "Open in new tab", this is something that firefox is sorely missing.
It may sound trivial but it is a really handy feature. When they add that I may consider switching over.

There may be an extension with that feature....

Note...bugmenot is not yet running under latest Firefox 1.0 at least for Linux.......

Hmmm. I can right click and get both "Open link in new window" and "Open link in new tab".
