Just watched Martina McBride! Shes GrEAt!
Hmmm... don't know about that sister.... but I do like Miss Sara! :-) And that song.... :-)
Sara Evans has a great voice but I hate that song.
I'm torn on Gretchen ... she is talented, but she's with that whole "Country Music Mafia" baloney.
Oh Lordy. Big and Rich are on. This is *NOT* country. Its ... crap.
What?! That's her best song in a couple years.
OH.
MY.
GOOODNESS.
Black, rapping cowboy???????????????
I'm. Just. Speechless.
Shania has the help of Mutt Lange. I think he has produced more stars than Betsy Ross: AC/DC, Bryan Adams, Def Leppard, etc.
I have nothing against her, but she really seems prima donna to me.
"We never get tired of hearing ya'll. We were afraid maybe you did. Thanks a lot. This is awesome, really unexpected this year." -- Kix Brooks
Music Video of the Year "Whiskey Lullaby" -- Brad Paisley With Alison Krauss "First of all, Rick Shroder could not be here. I think he did a great job on this video. It's like a movie. Thanks to the fans who I'm told made this the most-requested video on CMT for the last couple of months." -- Brad Paisley
Single of the Year "Live Like You Were Dying" -- Tim McGraw "Thanks to the fans and to the songwriters for a great song and two of the best guys [Producers: Byron Gallimore and Darran Smith] I could work with." -- Tim McGraw
Musical Event of the Year "Whiskey Lullaby" -- Brad Paisley With Alison Krauss "Thank you very much. I have to thank Brad for asking me to sing. And thank you to Jon Randall and Bill Anderson for such an amazing song." -- Alison Krauss "I want to thank country radio for playing this. It says a lot about the great people in our format out there that are playing our music when they'll take a chance on a double suicide drinkin' song. I totally appreciate that." -- Brad Paisley
Song of the Year "Live Like You Were Dying" -- Tim McGraw "Well, I want to have Tim McGraw's baby. Maybe I'm having Tim McGraw's baby. ... Tim [Nichols] and I have been friends, we've written for years together and we've had horrible, horrible luck. Just horrible luck. People were telling me to quit writing with him. You'd have more hits and make more money if you do this or did that. I'm so glad I listened to my angels instead." -- Craig Wiseman "The day Craig and I wrote this song, it was just like any other day. It started just like any other day and now it's like no other day." -- Tim Nichols
I bought three albums this year: Toby Keith, Josh Turner and Nashville Star runnerup George Canyon. All three musicians hold values consistent with mine, and their music is top notch.
George Strait is on. He is simply amazing.
The King!
Terri
carpet chewer...but decent pipes.
hall of fame....
the man who got Sinead off stage at MSG when she had her breakdown.
major red diaper doper baby...how did Waylon tolerate him and Willie together?
Thanks again... :-)
Still peeking every few minutes at work. I like "Live Like You Were Dyin'" Any other year I wouldn't have liked that song, but my life this year needed that one. I think God planned it for me.
Well...Viacom will destroy CMT sure as shite.
CMAs go to NYC next year...oh boy.
terri likes girls? you're kidding?
Notice Waylon was the one who'd take off on a moments notice to be alone! And apparantly occasionally showed his temper. hehehe... I would have to do the same in the company of Willie and Kris together. LOL
Martina McBride-How Far
I am surprised you're not in attendance!
