Talk of winter, do,
A season of romance, too!
Warmth from hearth and heart,
friends and much more, sitting apart,
the world passes by them,
they have each other to warm them,
what care they of winds or snow,
when basking in hearts-glow?

A winter love is most profound
a silver haired woman found
the snugness of the quilt of love
was a gift from heaven above.

The cold winds blow
the hearth is warm
the woman is sheltered from
the storm from a cup of lovingness

A gentle love to grow old
with sweet memories to unfold
evenings by a fire warm
companionship oh so sweet
and toastie slippers for her feet
