Putting that aside for the moment, I'd just like to state-for the record-that the reason Mark Green lost that race-as he has lost so many others-IS BECAUSE HE'S A FRIGGIN' LOSER!
It had absolutely nothing to do with Al Sharpton, Michael Bloomberg, Fernando Ferrer, Alan Hevesi or Rudy Giuliani.
Perhaps the brutal attacks perpetrated against our city on September 11th, 2001 confirmed-or in some cases, reinforced-voter's nagging suspicions that Mark Green was an unmitigated moron, but those suspicions already existed prior to the mayoral election.
I just can't let this myth stand that Al Sharpton is some sort of political king-maker in New York City politics.
It bears absolutely no relation to reality.
