Did anyone else make a similar observation? I live in Massachusetts. In the days leading up to the election, I would see Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers everywhere. Especially when I pulled into the super-market parking lot. I'd often have to remind myself not to scowl if I encountered one of these Kerry supporters.
I hit the road at about 8am on Wednesday. The election was still technically 'in the air' and 'unofficial'. I set out on my three mile exercise hike which takes me along busily traveled streets in my town. I set up a little observation exercise: let me see how many Kerry stickers I can notice. To my astonishment, I didn't see one!!!! Not for my whole hike!!! After finishing my hike, and getting set to take on the day, I had to to make up an excuse to go to the supermarket because I had been seeing a wealth of Kerry stickers there. I pulled into the parking lot and saw no Kerry stickers!. When I came out, Lo!, I spied a car with a bumper sticker. I moved closer and ... no luck ... Bush/Cheney. :-)
The fact that the bumper stickers vanished so suddenly spoke volumes. They were almost more ostentatious in their absence.

Seen similar stuff in my own neighborhood. There is a senior citizen couple who have had several Kerry/Edwards signs & various other Democratic candidates signs in their yard and in their front window. BIG BIG signs....they were all gone last weekend...even the big one in the window. I dunno if they changed their minds or were just being tidy before the election. Lots of Bush/Cheney signs still up around here in Livonia Michigan.
I noticed the same here in Northern California! Even the Volvo (Liberal Mobile) Stationwagons!
I live in hippie hell of Santa Cruz, CA, and I still see Kerry/Edwards stickers all over the place! These must all be Sore Losermans, denying the fact that George W. Bush won!!!! A great day for America...
Yup. All the Kerry signs in my neighborhood are gone. All the unstolen Bush signs are still up.
Here in Wyandotte, MI I started noticing Kerry signs being pulled a week and a half before the election. It was a curious thing to watch...as if moderate dems were just embarrassed.
I still have my Bush/Cheney sign up here in Grand Rapids. My neighbor took down his Republicans for Kerry (handmade) sign Wednesday morning:)
At 7:30 am on Wednesday, my ONE AND ONLY(eat your heart out!)Kerry neighbor had removed 7 yard signs, bumper stickers on all his front windows, and about one hundred stickers completely covering his truck. I think they must have been magnets. How else could he remove them so fast?
Same in Central California. Not too many Kerry signs in my neighborhood to begin with, but the few that were around were gone by 7am yesterday. As for me, I argued with my wife last night about keeping our Bush/Cheney sign up for a few more days in the front yard. She ultimately won, but my firm belief is, happy wife, happy life. However, we will keep our Bush bumper stickers on the cars until they are tattered and illegible.
Yeah, in 2008 we ask Terry McAuliffe:
"Roll another one, just like the other one..."

I hate that guy McAuliffe...
Terry prolly ain't too fond of himself right now either.
:-)
Probably crying like a baby with his Democrat goons.
My Bush sticker has been on my car since 2000, and have had it defaced with food and other junk 3 times. It is still there, and I'm prouder than ever. Also, it's a little faded, showing that I'm no bandwagoneer!
ping. Gotta get me some gear!
I'm not sure how long my Bush/Cheney sign will gloat on the front lawn.
Yeah, I'm in Santa Cruz about once a week and there appear to be marginally more Carry/Deadwoods bumper shnickers on Volvos down there than up here in Santa Rosa (of course, Sebastopol has more lib bumper stickers per sq inch than any other location in CA).
GO SC CARDINALS!!!
